It sucks bad. I actually back up my statement.

It appears that Ford was prepared for these kind of queries from the general public as they have just released the supercharged version of this vehicle with some rather impressive results. I agree, as I had stated in my prior post that this is not a sports car but a roadster/tourer. I still respect the power output that they were able to pull out of this vehicle. It suits the car nicely...I highly recommend a drive in this if you ever have the chance to do so. It gets attention. Nonetheless, I could care less what other American fans say about the performance or otherwise: THIS American is pleased with almost every aspect of this car.

I still don't find the supercharged version all that impressive either.

  3. Re: It sucks bad. I actually back up my statement.

I bet the people dissing this car have never seen one in real life.
Man, these things are beautiful. Its not meant as a damn performance car, its a luxury car and a damn good one at that.

    Who brought up Civics?

And I point out, it took Japanese until last year to send a car over 200 mph on an IHRA circuit.

  4. Re: It sucks bad. I actually back up my statement.

It is cheaper to make a 5 liter engine that makes 200hp than it is to make a 2 liter engine make 200hp. This is why the engine is big. It's not that they can't, it's because it is more cost efficient. Wheather the car is ugly of not is your own opinion.

  5. Re: It sucks bad. I actually back up my statement.

You are all Fucking dumb asses. 3.9 liters is absolutley tiny for a V8 and the new 2003 Thunderbirds now make 280 horsepower and 285 lb. ft. of tourque. That is more horsepower than 90% of your damn r!ce crap cars. You are all ignorant Fuckers that need to stay off this site.

  6. Re: It sucks bad. I actually back up my statement.

You my friend are a moron. Tell us then, what car for under $22,000 can out run a mustang gt...? Comeon, what import can outrun a newer gt for less money...oh that's right NONE. I can't stand idiots like you.

  7. Re: It sucks bad. I actually back up my statement.

You and killer69 are tools. A 3.9 liter v-8 is huge to you two? Am I missing something here?
A 3.9 is tiny for v-8, why don't you idiots get your facts straight before you come in here looking like jackasses.
This car is not intended to be a tire smoking, quarter mile eating, gas guzzling beast, it's a touring car, a car you take out on a nice day and just enjoy driving it. F^cking morons on this site are really pissing me off...

It's also heavier to use a 5 litre engine that makes 200hp than a 2 litre engime that makes 200hp, so what you're saying is, that American manufacturers are compromising performance for cost? not very good if you ask me.

  10. Re: It sucks bad. I actually back up my statement.

YOU are a Fuckng dumbass. 3.9 litres is more than enough displacement for a roadster, yet the engine is going to weigh a freakish amount for a roadster and put out an unimpressive amount of power.

You're a Nascar fan and you're calling other people "ignorant Fuckers that need to stay off this site"? Please<A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/emoticons.html"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="http://speed.supercars.net/cboardhtml/emoticons/confused.gif"></A>, don't be a fool.

I saw once i tired to ram it but i failed now i have to see more of these stupid ugly ass things. i pray to god the thunder birds dont get uglier.

  12. Re: It sucks bad. I actually back up my statement.

If Ford had given the grant to Saleen to make suped up Thunderbirds, instead of denying them, this could have been one fast car.

  13. Re: It sucks bad. I actually back up my statement.

Your choice of words is very degrading towards your I.Q. The Thunderbird is not a "roadster" it is a FULL SIZED CONVERTIBLE! and the horsepower isnt what V8s are solely made for, they create more torque than any V6 or i4 stock. and how is the weight "freakish" i mean its a damn V8, a SMALL V8, not a 5L, not a 7L, a 3.9L.

Also, why are you calling NASCAR fans "fools" i will admit that the drivers talk hillbillish and act it sometimes, but they need skill to keep the cars at 200+mph on the track. its not just some big ass car chase in little cheesy street cars in different sheetmetal, around a track as most people think it is, and not all the drivers are idiots, nor are the fans.

think before you speak next time and do us all a favor.

    haha so true

  16. 3.9 L V8 = massive? Since when? A 1986 Corvette L88 is way bigger.
