  1. After Pearl Harbor was attacked and Japanese-Americans were put in camps, the released.

How has america acted to try to fix what they did?

  2. they didnt.

  3. They were granted reparations and awareness in 1987.

  4. i know they have done something

  5. They let them out and decided not to talk about it anymore. <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/wink.gif"></A>

  6. bastards shouldn't have attacked us. Foreigners...

  7. that's kinda stupid, german-americans nor italian-americans weren't put in camps.

  8. germany anditaly never goosed us like that. Plus I think he was joking some.

  9. Zarcasm me thinks.

  10. like a quarter of the population has german ties though....

  11. Yea, and we needed some of them to help us develop the A-bomb.

  12. unless they were jewish, which tons of them were <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/wink.gif"></A>

  13. Pffft they did the same thing in Canada and auctioned off their property at small fractions of the value.

  14. Because they don't have sqinty eyes and talk funny, you dweeb.

  15. makes absolute sense to me why they did it during WWII and not to many italian/german americans (who got a LOT of shit in WWI, by the way). i dont think it was a wise move necessarily, but i see their thought process.

  16. It was an expediancy.

At least in Canada, Italian and german populations could be monitored, being Europeans, we understood their Culture, their language was generally accessable, etc. This wasn't the Case with the Japs so we shipped them to the mountains and took their property.

  17. as i understand, they monitored a lot of italians and germans here in the US.

it's just, arr japanese people rook arike, and they feared far greater cultural cohesion there in a huge japanese conspiracy, and i guess instead of thinking a more logical approach thru, they took as you said, the expedient route.

i dont really care, i mean we apologized for it, and it was a far #$%#ing cry from waht my family went through in their own detention camps in europe, so the whiners can eat me.

  18. IIRC some Germans and Italians were interned too, tho not all obviously (there are a sh*ttonne of Germans in North America)...

  19. Canada would have had to make KW an internment camp. We interned some Germans, but not all. Their was actually a (semi due) process IIRC.
