  1. I forgot about that. Isn't it mostly because they don't have as many options, like power windows/locks/ect? Or is it more serious components that are lighter?
  2. A kid in my class had a '69 Camaro with a 502. Needless to say, I didn't.
  3. There was a kid at my school last year with an 89 LX that he had put all kinds of work into. I didn't really know him, so I'm not sure what exactly he had done, but one day he came to school after having been to the drags at Sears Point, and he didn't bother wiping his estimated time off his windshield. It said 11.5.
  4. Pretty lame to leave it on there/pretty sweet to have an 11 second car in high school.
  5. The fastest car anyone in my grade had was a stock RX-8.

Edit: Or a guy who drove his mum's turboed Volvo, the in gear acceleration on those things is nuts.
  6. nice ride enjoy it
  7. Haha nice car there! I used to have an 87 5.0, wasnt the fastest in the HS lot, cus there was 1 other 5.0 that was manual (mine was auto) and this 305 Firebird in the lot wasnt that much of competition.

I wish I could have my car back, every time you start er up, it feels great, big chug chug ROOOOMMMM. Like the other people have been saying, rip out those front seats and throw some racing ones in there. Lordco in canada has this set for 180 that is simulated leather black, blue or red.

Nice car man, just be good with her <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/wink.gif"></A>
  8. Fastest car at my school was a couple of srt4s.
  9. frig people at my school come to school in there big hummers, one kid drives his dads m5 every once and a while, couple of sl500's and one kid brought his dads porsche gt3 to school and his dad had a minor accident with it a day later.
  10. Honestly, those Mustangs kind of scare me a bit, they get a little haywire sometimes in the rear end.
  11. They do that to let you know you're alive!
  12. A good friend of mine had a CHP notch about a year ago. Beast of a car for about $2500. Goodluck not killing yourself.
  13. Fastest car at my school was a Intrepid RT. ouf...
  14. I miss my 1991 5.0 LX convertible.<A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/sad.gif"></A>
  15. You could have just got like 37 of them instead of your new Pontiac... They're so bloody cheap, you should at least have one as a fun summer beater car. Buy another one! NOW!!
  16. <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/sad.gif"></A>
  17. buy another one! <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>
  18. Awsome, because the #1 restrictions the 5.0s had was Small exhuast ports ( they have a decent cam, but cant breath due to the bad exh ports) and also another goo dthing is the gears. That thing shsould haul and perhaps even get in the 13s without a doubt.
  19. I've got two pair of those heads in my garage, the way ford desighned exhuast ports on those things is hidious, Im actually amazed people can get over 200hp on those heads. The worst thing about it is my little brother is putting them on his 65 mustang=(
  20. Nice buy.
A new differential & a panhard bar will do wonders to keep your rearend planted threw and coming out of corners.

I have to admit I really miss mine. This is the type of car you can just beat on. They are tough and so easy to maintain.
  21. You going to be driving this in the winter?

  22. At the shop I take my Panda to get it serviced, there's always this very same 5.0 with clutch problems, always.
  23. HAHA! But it must be just isolated to that car. My car has 101K miles on the stock clutch, and it still works beautifully. A clutch dump at 5K is no problem.
  24. BS, amerikan cars can't rev past 150rpm.
  25. well. . . yeah
