"With no time to change anything we literally fitted more track oriented tyres, although still treaded rather than slicks, and fitted a set of Performance Friction brake pads. Everything else remained as standard, including lights, wing mirrors, road gearing, etc."

And it hung with fully prepped race bikes on slicks and even managed to beat a few.

    Heres another

"I think this is, without exaggeration, the most remarkable bike Suzuki have ever built. It is almost a shame that it looks so similar at first glance to the old bike as every area that we have struggled with or worked around with the old model has been addressed and bettered by some margin. Matt said it is the best bike he has ever ridden and I can easily see why."

And this is why ive been holding my cash and my k6.

  2. Such an awesome bike!
If I buy brand new this is what I will get.
Bu tI will most likely buy used and will get a TL100R, RC51, or Buell.

  3. My precious K4 seems so old compared to this... <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/sad.gif"></A>

But then again, looks wise the old girl beats these new insects... <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

  4. personally I couldnt care less if people call gixxers squid bikes/common/just another metric bike. hell I was one of them but after riding the k6, I realized just how good they are. too much of an experience to just dismiss like that.

  5. It was fun to see Haga lose for Neukirchner on straights... If Suzuki is missing speed on MotoGP bikes it sure has power on SBK.

  6. yep, and I was just thinking that if ben spies was on that k9, he wouldve been faster than he was on the R1.

  7. Indeed, Haga even admitted it in an interview after the race.

  8. i hate the way that twin exhaust looks

  9. same thing happened with an 06... which i think is better

  10. I thought you hated Japanese products?

  11. as good as the k6 is....better than any 09 bike?

    no way.

  12. 09 CBR and K9. Which one?

  13. Powerwise, the cbr will definitely be outgunned. On a track though the 1000rr is a beast.

More importantly though, on the street, both these bikes are as close to perfection as you can get (judging from how good a street bike the k7 is).

  14. he owns american and german cars, so jap cars must suck, he owns jap bikes, so jap bikes are the best thing in the word and rest sucks, thats the way ron simmons thinks, if one day he'll own a korean car, it will be the best car in the word.

  15. who is this ron simmons you speak of?

  16. Your #%$got brother.

  17. From what ive heard and read, the CBR is prolly the most responsive to mods compared to the other 3 jap bikes. A very flexible bike.

  18. according to fast bikes it is the bee's knees

  19. Definitly the blade, best bike for the street, which is where 90% of them are 90% of the time.

  20. I agree with M3, the Honda's are a much better all around bike. If you'll be taping your mirrors up then grab a K9.

  21. K6 is still the best looking
