  1. New World Records for Koenigsegg

Today the 2nd of September 2011 at 12.08 pm a standard Koenigsegg Agera R took several new production car world records at the Koenigsegg proving ground in Ängelholm, Sweden.

All data was measured and collected by a third party with the officially accepted Racelogic VBox performance recorder.

The Records truly show the Agera Rs phenomenal stability, acceleration and braking performance - and that presently its performance is in a leauge of its own. All results will be submitted to the Guinness Book of Records.

    The numbers are as follows:

    0-300 km/h = 14.53 sec

    0-200 mp/h = 17.68 sec

    300-0 km/h = 6.66 sec

    200-0 mp/h = 7.28 sec

    0-300-0 km/h = 21.19 sec

    0-200-0 mp/h = 24.96 sec

    Meteorological data:

Wind was calm and came in straight from the side, not affecting the results. Weather was partially cloudy and fair. The test track is completely flat with no gradient.

    Testtrack heading: 040 degrees

    Wind direction: 290 degrees

    Wind speed: 9 kts

    Temp: 15.4 C

    Pressure: 1015 HPA

We are proud to announce that this record breaking car is heading to our partners in Singapore. It will be showcased at the Singapore Grand Prix FIA Formula One World Championship. This is the first Koenigsegg Agera R in Singapore. Don´t miss the opportunity to check this world champion out.

Just because you haven't touched it doesn't mean something is untouchable

In this link there is a car attempting to go 800 mph. That's faster than the speed of sound.

The article isn't about going 800 mph, but going 800 mph while connected to a wifi network in order to transmit data about the car.

Going 800 mph isn't really that big of a deal, apparently.

The point is, any car can be made to go XXX mph, and then come to a stop. It's not even that difficult. Rednecks with Camaros have been posting numbers on par or better than Koenigsegg for over 40 years.

  16. It'll annihilate the runoff areas, perhaps.

  18. does the dash still bend and flex like a 1980's hyundai when you turn the hazard lights on after spinning into a ditch?
  19. Lol I kept looking at RB avatar and didnt realise it was a NEW model K'segg. They are nearly just as bad as the 911 in design evolution.
  20. the agera isn't a bad design, best looking k'segg since the ccr. If they would work on overall lap performance instead of retarded stuff like 0-200-0 mph then i would start to care about this car again.
  21. Koenigseggs can't handle the N-ring.
  22. first time they proof something, they alwyes claim.
  23. k'seggs are awesome... i don't care how fast it laps the ring, or any other performance statistics... i love it because it's just a purely brutal, unique looking, creatively designed monster... it is a perfectly ridiculous supercar, and no matter how much raging balls trolls you guys, i'd still love to have one.
