  2. Nice collection. Has some Callaway cars in there as well, lol. rival tuning house.

  3. John Lingenfelter actually worked with Callaway back in the Corvette Sledgehammer days.

  4. hmm interesting.

    not exactly related but:
I hear the boss behind AMG and the boss of Alpina are really good friends as well.

John Lingenfelter drove the Callaway Sledgehammer to its 255mph maximum speed at the Transportation Research Center in Ohio way back in 1988.

There's a great video that discusses the whole speed record event on YouTube:

Since no one has said it yet this collection of cars is owned by John's cousin, Ken. Ken took over Lingenfelter Performance Engineering after John's untimely death following a drag racing accident in 2003. Ken had previously been the CEO of a large title company in Michigan, and not directly involved with the business of cars. Obviously his passion runs deep though. <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

  6. This is the "sultan of michigan"? huh

  7. I can tell I'm getting old when the first thing I think is "imagine the insurance on all of that". So awesome though.

  8. Yes indeed. <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

  9. I've seen his collection in person and it is quite amazing, and always growing!

Ken is among other things an epic Corvette fan. The fact that he now runs the company his cousin began has no damper on his love for all things Corvette.

  10. That 959 is awesome.

  11. why dont these collectors ever buy the rare stuff like Ascaris and Spykers? Its always the same group of supercars. they are fine and all but just once Id like to see a garage full of unique cars.

  12. Ken only guys cars he can drive. Ascaris aren't legal in the US as far as I know. And I'd assume Spykers are probably on order.

  13. S7 in the background is gorgeous. I miss the S7<A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/sad.gif"></A>

  14. Still hasnt found the perfect F50 ?

  15. He's looking for one. Mac F1 too if I remember correctly.

  16. He should buy Jeffrey's F50.

Also after a couple of discussions with Isaac/nthfinity about a McLaren for the collection it sounds like he's not interested with where current asking prices are on F1s. I tend to think they will still continue to climb higher as time goes on so perhaps he'll skip it.

he has a vector an enzo and an 8c, other wise its quite boring. Mr Lenos Collection is better.

Collections like these should be musuems not garages with occasional visites. Mr Leno is a better person because you can watch videos on all his cars:

  18. Anybody who owns 3 GTs and a Cobra R is my single best friend.

  19. What's a Mac F1?

  20. I'm sure you are trying to be funny, but it is just one of the many names people give to this wonderful car.
