Well, when you take a biggish V6 and pump 14.5 psi into it, that is exactly what you get. At least the supercharger doesn't lag, which is exactly what a turbo pumping 14.5 psi does.

  3. Re: Lots of power for a V6

    yup, quite a lot !

  4. Re: Lots of power for a V6

    amg all the way!

  5. Re: "Honda, go away"

You know what bugs me??? People in Preludes or civics with towel racks and fart tubes who think that a feul economy car can take a
C 230. My dad Got one about 3 years ago, and I was over joyed (what do ya expect, all we had till then was a '91 Civic). You must be
realy, absolutely, completely stupid and very ignorant to think that a 2001 Civic Coupe (with a ginormous amount of 140 hp at 7000 rpm) can outrace a 1999 C 230 Kompressor Sedan with 200 bhp at 2400 rpm.

Well i think we waited a while at the next lights. This goes out to all you "ricers" with ego problems. A Civic cant win against ANYTHING.

I'll bet that Honda's Indy 500 car is feul efficient (Ferrari might be making an appearance soon in the Indy, so go away and go make Green Peace happy).

    PSH!!!

    cheers.

    It's not just supercharged, it's intercooled, too. <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/emoticons.html"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="http://speed.supercars.net/cboardhtml/emoticons/wink.gif"></A>

I've read that, unlike most blown engines, this one has a very minimal amount of lag. German engineering, baby.

  7. Re:

Yeah, the C 230 isn't a very fast car at all, so a prelude would probably be able to take it just because of the power to weight ratio. I agree that Civics aren't that fast, but nor is the C 320, especially one that is about 3 years old.

  8. Re:

    C230 has 190bhp at 6000rpm actually.
Its not the fastest, but its fast enaugh <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/emoticons.html"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="http://speed.supercars.net/cboardhtml/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

  9. Re: Lots of power for a V6

wanna know something funny, BMW gets about the same power as this engine without the use of forced induction

  10. Re: Lots of power for a V6

hey mr 'know it all' ... mercedes did the same things BMW are doin in 2005. M sport are bringing out an M5 in 2005 with 500-500bhp V10 BUT mercedes (NOT ///AMG) in 1979 had a car (a DIESEL car) 5 cyl 500bhp V8 that lapped the famous nardo circuit in italy @ over 250mph. BMW has always lacked compared to mercedes. Sure some BMW's are better than some mercs, but remeber.... theres ALWAYS a merc somewhere that will eat that better BM...

  11. Wanna know something else funny?
    Mercedes had a 400bhp 5.0ltr N/a V8 before BMW.
    The W124 limited edition 500E.

  12. i think this about the most bang for your buck from amg
