I think they finished it off a few months ago. he got something like 27 life sentences.

In Vancouver, yeah there is.
Yeah, Im moving to North Van, as well.
Oh God, I remember that. I also remember a similar case in which a young couple were abducted by a few people and put through something like that for several days before being killed. Can anyone find a link to that?
I haven't followed / looked into the details, but it sounds like there had to me more than just him in on it. Sounds more like his whole clique was in on it, and Picton got the wrap because he's the dumbest (in fact, probably retarded) and they all testified against him without implicating themselves.
either way they did good work. they killed a total of what 8 people?
I remember lots of traces of DNA (probably not all identified) on his property at one time, and yah, looks like there is an appeal held for 2009. Largest serial killer in Canadian history.
you know the world is in a shitty place when this kind of shit happens in winnipeg.
Only in America...

Maybe you should look up the definition of the word "only".
You're just pissed because now the phrase will have to read like this:
"Only in America*
*sometimes Canada too"
Probably ate her liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti.
Canada is just to violent.
Well, the central canadian plains is much like suburban USA
"this kind of thing never happens here" mentality.
I really hate this kind of topic, because there are so many more brutal crimes out there. This is just one of the most bizzare. I think that is the most inadequate, but accurate discription. There have been more brutal, and hienous crimes, but there really is nothing more..
One other point that is even more sad, there is no report of anybody trying to HELP! Just, oh my, a knife, run and save yourself.
I find that part almost more sad and disheartening

The first thing to be done is to evacuate the bus, you dont go challenge a guy with a 10 inch knife when the bus is full that may have children or pregnant woman. Its not a good idea to get the attention of the killer on all the other passengers.
Someone is stabbing the shit out of someone with blood spraying everywhere randomly?
Nigga, i'd run hella far.
you sound like a proper straight A sociology/criminology graduate
Because the justice system has so much pity over there.
i ate a winnipeg and i liked it, hope my mother don't mind it.
