McLaren F1 vs. Bugatti 16/4 Veyron

Discussion in 'Car Comparisons' started by ajzahn, Oct 1, 2006.

  1. the McLaren(imo) is over rated and over priced. i have only seen 1 F1, i have seen 2 Bug Veyrons. only for style i say the 16/4 and because i think the f1 is over rated.

  2. Just die, please. Also, stop ruining DB9s.

  3. what did i do to you? im making alot of posts so i can hit 50 posts. ill slow down after 50. if you dont like what im saying dont read it. 2nd my avatar wont work right. omg, people on this site like to pick at stupid things.

  4. Welcome to SCN.

  5. lol. thank you all for this great welcome.

  6. It's tough to say. The McLaren F1 was on of the cars that got me into cars so it has the bigger emotional draw. The Veyron OTOH is much faster and is probably a superior vehicle. Can't decide.

  7. it just wouldnt feel right saying something is better than the mclaren f1. i cant do it.

  9. True, it would. Along with the TVR Speed 12

  10. Mclaren. The F1 looks so much intense than the Veyron. However, I think a personal experience would serve as a better vote. Maybe, just maybe...

  11. I'd definitely go for the Veyron. I have no room for an unruly 627hp supercar in my life.

  12. Ummmm...

The Speed 12 and the 962LM would both blow the F1's doors off, and they would hold the Veyron in a straight line (maybe not the 962, but still close), and lose it in the turns.

  13. Bugatti for me

  14. what an amazingly gay thing to say.

  15. The McLaren F1 is truly amazing, despite being a decade older than the Veyron and more compact, it has more cargo space, has longer wheel base and can fit one more passenger. Plus, it can attain 20 miles per gallon, very fuel efficient for a car with over 600 horsepower. It is still the king of roadcars in my opinion.

  16. Niether of these two is among my favourites. Like mentioned above, i'd much rather like something truely special (don't get me wrong, these are special too), maybe something like a Dauer 962 or a 911 GT1.

  17. F1 anyday. That is what a car should be. The Veyron is a boat with a nice interior.

  18. A supersonic boat that can rape anything up to an F1 in straight line... with a nice interior.

    Yeah, its awesome! <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/grin.gif"></A>

  19. I love and appreciate both cars for different reasons.

However, if the chance to have one of these sitting in my car garage arose, a Veyron wouldnt even be considered.

  20. Love how that last pic shows it surrounded by Minis. <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A> Although the Ring videos thread showd a Mini passing a CGT, which was nice too.

Needless to say Id pick a Macca, a raceversion at that, for truly theres no real idea in driving one in restricted scenery. One would by a Bugatti to travel, even with its lesser ride qualities <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/wink.gif"></A>

  21. I think it's more fun to drive an F1, especially the one Orange F1LM posted

  22. McLarenF1 by a mile.
