modena easily. a) its better looking than the vette, and b) when im done i can sell it with enough change for a skyline.

  2. Re: Modena vs Z06

Damn it, do you have some kind of condition? The Camaro was no later than a '97 because if you didn't know thats when they stopped using the LT1 dumbass. The BMW M3 was supercharged, even with forced induction the Camaro could pull along side like nothing. Pathetic.

As for your bashing of the new SVT Cobra, show me ANY car from ANYWHERE else IN THE ENTIRE FUCKING UNIVERSE that has 420 gross HP for 29k.

About NASCAR, didn't hear about their engine that won Lemans?

Ford engines held 13 F1 titles last time I checked, no one else has done that.

Why don't you ever reply to me, afraid of getting owned?

  3. Re: Modena vs Z06

have you eva driven in yar life ? If no explain us why are ya ferrari and jap car biased?

  4. Re: Modena vs Z06

im not frickin biased. just cos i was an asshole in the viper forums dont mean i am now (excuse my english). dont start a war.

lets take an example. lets say you like car x, which is, for arguments sake, american. now lets say you prefer it to car y, which is japanese. now that doesn't mean that you're biased. that just means that you prefer car x, not JUST american cars in general. thats how i feel. i just genuinely prefer the skyline and the modena. im sorry, thats just my personal opinion. is that a crime?

and unfortunately im not yet of car-driving age, so you're right i have never driven. can you and if yes what car do you own?

  5. Re: Modena vs Z06

wow. you deserve a gazillion karma. in t' lemans series is that lola the MG lola?

and yet another good point on the engines. the AC cobra is a brilliant car- a fusion of american muscle and english guile.

also, don't tvr make their own straight six for the tuscan, or are my wires crossed?

    Re: Modena vs Z06

Yes, I believe that is the MG Lola.

TVR do make their own straight six for the Tuscan (and many of them are having heaps of trouble staying together; quite a few owners wonder why TVR don't just use the GM 5.7-liter lump instead and spare them the headaches).

Ah, but don't forget. There's more than one Tuscan:

hmm, i detect high rancidity levels.

You sir, if you can so be called, are a slow-witted, crepulent and over judgemental oaf. although i appreciate that everyone on this forums assumes a certain car is better, as i do, we cannot equivocably prove our views until we have driven them ourselves. we cannot rely on roadtests by magazines. just because ferrari and loads of others didn't show you think that they are scared of a 'vette. please.

ferraris and the others all turn out for the road tests ive read no matter what the competition. Ferrari don't need to prove themselves to anyone. period.

and dont be so aggressive. wash your mouth out.

  10. Re: Modena vs Z06

guibo, i have come to repsect you during our little debates on various forums. but do not get me involved in a row over tvr. i hope you do not imply the modern tuscan's engine is crappy. tvr is the last great british manufacturer together with Astonb Martin, which is admittedly owned by ford but has not been changed and tainted by mass-production.

tvrs are lovely cars for what they are. they are very fast- a similar cerbera at a similar price to the Z06 will push it close. and i think its great that the Z06 and cerbera can still whup a modena's ass, at least in speedstakes.

    TVRs RULE!

  11. Re: Modena vs Z06

heed my advice, learnéd friend, and may i point out that you were the aggressor. i have no plans to start a war, merely to further my knowledge of cars.

  12. Re: Modena vs Z06

And let your knowledge be furthered with what I have to say below...

I never said TVR engines are crappy. I just hinted that their reliablitly record is fairly atrocious (Buick/Rover V8-powered specimens notwithstanding). They make great gobs of power (less than the claimed power, in the case of production Cerbera 4.5's), but suffer from a fragility that simply isn't tolerated in other cars, whether they're mass produced or not. Yes, they're amazing bang for the buck cars, but there's a reason for that: they're quite liable to go "bang!" within the first 10K miles. Search for a previous thread in this forum, comparing the Tuscan S to the Z06, and you'll see what I'm talking about.

TVR's are great cars, but with this Achilles heel, they cannot rule.

  13. Re: Modena vs Z06

ive heard very favourable reports concerning tvrs. one of my old neighbours was a sports car dealer, he had a chimaera and a cerbera 4.5, both with over 40k on the clock, and they were in fine condition. i prefer to believe my own personal experience. sorry.

    TVRs RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  14. Re: Modena vs Z06

But wait, that's not exactly "personal experience" now, is it? You don't own a TVR. You cited anectodal "evidence" based on two ownership experiences by an old neighbor. I had an old neighbor that owned a Mercedes 190e. I haven't a clue as to how reliable that car is. And anyways, the reliability of the Chimaera isn't at issue. The Tuscan and Cerbera are what's at issue.

Let me know if you'd like to hear some first-hand experiences of those who actually own TVR's. Or, like I said, take a look in the thread regarding Tuscan vs. Z06. Or, you can look in some issues of Autocar, either in the main stories, or in the letters department. If you have the "Britain's Best Driver's Cars" or the "0-100-0" issue, take a look. That is only a teaser of what you'll find. It'll really open your eyes.

  15. Re: Modena vs Z06

Hey, why don't you go buy your $150,000 Modena, so you can get your ass beat by my brothers $ 50,000 dollar Z06, lol ahahahahha, Your full of shit, How in the hell are you going to start this forum out, by excluding the price half/wit? Well, here in the real world, that is one of the major factors when comparing cars. The only reason, for a 360 Modena over Z06 is not performance, its personal status (Its to show that have mad money and you don't). Also, if you’re so disappointed it American car's, i suggest the get the hell out, and move your ASS to Ferrari and Lamborghini, happy happy land, where everyone has those types of cars, (Moron). Also, just like you’re tired of hearing about American cars, I am tired of hearing about you import girls and all your bull shit/hatred against American cars. They can’t handle; they have big engines, they have poor reliability, their shit, etc… It never seems to matter how; times you import fools get proven wrong, it’s still the same bull shit over and over again. Its like you #$%#ers can’t read, or just have that selective memory bull shit, and pretends not to see the facts. Its on the Mustang forums, Viper forums, and Vette forums. All you import #$%#er’s do I talk shit, like you all drive Ferraris, Lamborghini’s, NSX’s, TVR’s etc. You’re are full of shit. I am guessing you’re all just tired of getting passed, by American muscle cars over and over again. Lol ahahahahhah Well don’t forget your muffler modds, and the Type-R Stickers. Yea, I saw dumb shit from some import #$%#er with a white 3000Gt, who had a big yellow Type-R sticker on his back window and Super Street on the Sides. Yea, it must be that import Gene.

  16. Re: Modena vs Z06

that may be the case, but i don't really care.

  17. Re: Modena vs Z06

Ignorance is bliss. Enjoy your slice of heaven.

  18. Re: Modena vs Z06

The Z06 would win better 0-60 and 1/4 mile and holy crap got enough posts do you have a life or just alot of time on your hands!

  19. Re: Modena vs Z06

they posted a picture on that site that had a semi transparent overlay of the median cut and the breakdown.here it is with my addition of sevral discrepancies circled where there are semi transparent buildings and the lines on the road don't match up.

  20. Re: Modena vs Z06

i agree guibo, i think that those kids don't know what the z06 really is.

  21. Re: Modena vs Z06

and sarcasm is the lowest form of wit yada yada yada....

look, all i know is that some tvrs are reliable and that someitmes they aren't. you probably are right, but ill probably never own one so i can pretend they are the perfect car.

guibo are you american? just wondered.

  22. Re: Modena vs Z06

You kidding, that was the perfect way to respond to your post.

  23. Re: Modena vs Z06

The sad thing is I can take a 33 thousand dollar SVT cobra and stand toe to toe with your Z06.

Anyway, the 360 wasnt solely made for going down the strip. It was made for being the all around sports car. Paddle shifting, Mid-Engined. Its a status symbol. People who have the money to drive a ferrari can do what they want. They get agreat sounding, powerfull beast with one of the best brand names slapped onto it. You are just a little jealous of the people that really DO own those cars.

Dont give me shit about people driving 360s not knowing anything about cars. A friend of my dads owns a 360 and he knows more about cars than you or most people do.

I am all for american cars, but you have gone too far.

IN your rambiling incoherent statment you went from calling ferrari owners rycers.

calm down and get a life.

    SO STFU NOOB

Don't even get me started on Ford engines. Getting parts performance parts for them requires an act of god. They've NEVER gotten good gas mileage. I've had nothing but bad experiences with Ford engines. They always seem two or three steps behind in the performance realm. Maybe I'm biased because of all the troubles I've had with them, but I have no use for a Ford in my garage (have one now I hate).

As for the 360 Modena, the fact that it cost alot, your friend's dad owns one and knows about cars, and they carry status does nothing to negate the fact that a car half the price will beat it in every other aspect.
