More powerful and faster than the 260, and the 280Z!

    The engine is smaller, and more powerful than both of its later models! I suppose that is when emissions took its toll on the Z?

    Yeah, it has to do with the carburetters. OR it could just be the octane of the fuel used, which can scrape a few horsepower off.

    how much does this have? my dads 260 says 162 under the hood.

    The engine spec on these were rated at about 150hp, thats with the dual SU sidedraft carbs...

    Every Z-Car after the 240 also weighed significantly more.

    240Z: 2,355 Lbs
    260Z: 2,605 Lbs
    280Z: 2875 Lbs
    280ZX: 2,825 Lbs
    300ZX (84-89): 3,080 Lbs
    300ZX (90-96): 3,219 Lbs
