Ok, the mpg of this car is not 20/28, but 30mpg, i'm not sure if it's for hwy or city or combined, but it's definitely higher than the number provided by supercars.net, check out this site for proof:

LOL! Sorry to disappoint you but here's what they actually say.

    9.4L/100km (30mpg)

Obviously the stated 30 mpg was a crude conversion from metric to English.

    9.4 Liters = 2.48 gallons
    100 km = 62.14 miles

    62.14 divided by 2.48 = (25.06 mpg), not 30

The EPA rates the S2000 to 19/26 City/Highway

hmm......it depends on which "gallon" ur talking about, cuz there are two types of gallon, the imperial one and the other one, i forgot.

sad fact is ... this inline 4 does not get the mpg it should be getting. F

go get a 2003 mustang cobra.

hey it depends on how u drive the car, if u keep ten rpm sky high, it drinks a lot fuel, but it's not necessary to do that even though S2000 doesn't ahve much torque, it still provides more than adequate acceleration at low rpm.

My Del Sol can run a month, and until 500km in one full tank... but I can waste half tank in just about an hour in highway with most of the time pedal down...
    how's the mustang on mpg?

  21. Re: MPG of Honda S2000

    But I don't want a Mustang.

  22. Re: MPG of Honda S2000

    Our's consistently gets 25 mpg combined city/highway.

The UK and Canada use imperial units, which will be higher than what US figures show.

For a conversion, use this website:
    http://www.dupaco.nl/~frans/fuel.html
(type in your variable, but don't hit the "Derive" button. Simply click on any space outside of the box.)

FWIW, Sport Auto/Auto Motor und Sport's test of the S2000 showed an average consumption of 11.7 l/100 km. About 20.1 US mpg.

    "from metric to English"

    hahahahahahaha, love it!

here in ENGLAND, i got taught metric at school...i think u meant to say "american" or imperial if u wanna b scientific

two types of gallons?...the only one im aware of is 4.544-litres or 277.3ci (8 pints)

Probably better ont the highway because it can rev alot lower and your foot doesn't need to be to hard on the gas to keep speed. As for city, well...not so good.
