  1. MEh, he'll find a better less boring game than soccer.

  2. I talked to him. I told him that you cannot let your team down like that, they need you. I also said that life is a rough road, sometime you'll drive on nice smooth pavement and other times you'll drive on harsher roads. And he said that he'll finish the season and will see about the 2008 season.

So his team played tonight, and they played really good. My youngest even saved his team. A sure goal was going in and he ran to kick it out before the ball crossed the line. They were leading 4-2, but in the last 2 minutes of the game, the other team scored 2 quick goals.

    Final score: 4-4

With last week's game, that was a moral win for the team. And that was the final game of the season. Next week, it's called a "suicide game". 1 playoff game, they win and they go to the medal championship game.

    Youngest's final season standing : 4 wins - 1 tie - 6 losses <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/disappointed.gif"></A>
    Eldest's playoffs so far: 1 win <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

  3. It was my eldest son second playoff game and it was a dandy! It was a really intense game, loads of action. The other team scored first but his team bounced back with a quick goal. The 2 goalkeepers were great. At the half it was still tied 1-1. In the second half, his team fired the good ole V8 and scored 4 goals, BUT!! the other team never quit and came back with 3 goals. NO!!!! And with 1 minute left in the game, the other team were pressing hard and one player kicked the ball hard and it hit the cross bar! The ball bounce way back and one of his teammates picked-up the ball and ran fast to score a goal!!!

Wow!! What a freakin' sweet game!

    Final score: 6-4

  4. This is it!! My 2 sons played tonight, and the games were back to back, so I could watch both game.

I'll start with my youngest, it was the "win this to go to the medal game" if not, it's all over. Well, thats what happenned. His team scored first but like all season long, most of the game was played on his team's side. The goalkeeper did some incredible saves but 3 goals were scored against his team. They tried coming back by scoring 1 goal in the second half, but they ran out of time and lost 3-2.<A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/sad.gif"></A><A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/sad.gif"></A>

And my youngest told me that's his final game EVER, no more soccer for him. Oh well.........we'll see in 2008, maybe he'll change his mind.

Now, my eldest. It was the final game of 3 of the playoffs. They were playing against the team that finished in 1st place over all. And what a game! It was insane!!! In the first half, both teams were going up and down the feild, and both goalkeepers did some sweet saves. It was still scoreless at the half. In the second half, his team scored first than the other team scored right back. Than his team scored again and it was 2-1. That's when my eldest son did a miracle. 2 players of the other team were on a breakaway and he was the only one back. He back up all the way to the goalkeeper and the other player kicked and it bounced of the goalkeeper and my eldest threw himself towards the ball to kick it out of danger, but he got hurt on that play. He was carried out by the coachs off the feild but all the players of his team went back to him and gaved him all high fives. That was a big "boost" to his team and scored 2 goals to win the game!!!!!!!!!

    Final score: 3-1

    Eldest's playoffs final standings: 3 wins <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A><A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A><A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

This Saturday, he'll be playing for the medal, and oddly enough against the team that finished last in the season's standing.

  5. This is it! This morning (Saturday August 11), it was my eldest son's medal game. Winner take all! And it was a really good game, but his team were not playing well in the first half, it was 2-1 against his team at the half.

In the second half, it was much better as his team came out on fire and score 4 goals! The other team was getting fustrated. One of their player started to rough up the goalkeeper and that's when my eldest grabbed him and pushed him back. He said: "What's your freakin' problem!!!" And the referee ejected that player out of the game. And that's when my eldest son's team won the medal!!!!!<A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A><A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A><A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

    Final score: 6-3

And that's my eldest son's third medal since he started playing soccer. In 6 years, he finished 3 times in first place for the season and won 3 medals, not to shabby at all!!!!<A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

That's it!! See you all in 2008.

  6. Congrats to your eldest on the medal.

    I miss playing indoor soccer.

  7. Are you sure they arn't playing cricket? I know kids games are high scoring but 5+ goals a game?! lolworthy!

  8. Whats with your youngest son being such a quitter? You need to set him straight! Being able to lose is an important part of life one needs to learn.

I remember when I played baseball as a kid, a couple of seasons in a row we only won 0 or 1 games... but i still kept playing and a couple of seasons later we were on the winning streak.
