So it was a little sooner than I expected, but my 74 just got featured on petrolicious.com! I'm stoked:

Any feedback on both the photography and obviously the car would be much appreciated. Some of you may have seen these pics in the gallery I created but figured I would finally create a thread. Let me know what you think!

  2. love petrolicious.

awesome car, too. I've always liked the 2002

  3. Love those 2002, but if I owned one, there's no way I would drive it during winter.

  4. just put a couple of bags of cement in the boot. done!

  5. Awesome car and very cool setting to take the pictures. Would love to have on of those <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

    1st pic is my favourite!

I like the pics with the sun shining in from behind the car (pics 8, 9 and 1), but I'd try to get rid of the rainbow/green colored flarespots.

The one with the bridge and lake in the background, I would have probably liked it better positioned in the left corner using the rule of thirds. Also would have lit up the shadow side (either there or in postprocessing).

Also you might want to try a bigger diafragma, like F/2.8

Look at the difference between pic 4 and 5, how come the colors in 4 are so flat? I like the white colour of your Bimmer in these.

Exposing snow the right way is hard, but you've done a good job on it. You could try adding 1/3 exp. Your car might pop a bit more because of that.

  6. The problem is not traction, but road salt. Over here, road crews put down so much salt on roads that it would just eat that sweet 2002 away in a heartbeat.

  7. what stangman said.

very few BMWs from that era survived up here.

  8. That thing is freaking sweet. Nice car.

  9. that's unreal.

  10. Great car, I almost bought a 2002 last summer as dare. Unfortunatly my project partner bounced at the last minute.

  11. Dude, congrats!
