Hey everyone, I used to post some of my artwork on here, but it has been a while. I just thought I'd share my latest work, as it is automotive related in a sense. I was commissioned along with two other local Alberta artists by the Edmonton Arts Council to create designs for two different types of garbage trucks. The trucks are being used to promote waste management, and to celebrate the opening of a new facility. There will be six trucks total, two designs per artist. This is my rear loader design, the first of the six trucks to be completed. Let me know what you think! http://www.edmontonjournal.com/technology/garbage+Both/7066377/story.html Photo by Laughing Dog Photography
And here is the original concept drawing, and the second design that is soon to be made, a 'top loader' where the robots arms will be feeding it.
I saw this in the local paper, didn't know it was you that designed these robots. I like the top loader!
Thanks for the comments everyone! Let me know if you see it in person, Panzer. I have yet to go up to Edmonton to see it myself. I'll probably wait until the top loader design is done as well.
So I was hauling some dirt today and look what showed up at our fueling station! I was suprised, and managed to snap these two pictures while waiting to get loaded.
Awesome! Thanks Panzer! I just received photo's of it in my email today (posted below). Would you mind if I used those photos for my website/blog? I'd credit you on the photos (you can PM me your name). All good if not.
I managed to make it up to Edmonton last night, and snap some pics this morning. The staff at the waste management facility were more than accommodating! I got to shoot the rear loader inside of the garage, which was amazing. Huge, open space with lots of light! Funnest shoot I've done for sure!
