I've been thinking of getting a Hybrid because the gas prices no longer fit much budget. What do you think is the best hybrid on the market? Any advice when going to buy a hybrid? Anything would be much apprciated. For all you gear heads out there, try taking the gear test on I scored a 6. Thanks guys.
  2. Don't. Get a normal cheap Honda Civic instead. It'll be much cheaper, more reliable, and you'll lose about 3 mpg in efficiency. Hybrids cost too much, and their mileage ratigns are exagerated.
  3. If I needed a hybrid i'd get either the Civic or the Escape. They at least look like normal cars.
  4. I saw some guy driving a hybrid, I gave him the finger.
  5. The Prius is the best if you don't care about looks...
  6. are you in the US?

    our petrol is the equivalent of about $6/gallon so STFU! <A BORDER="0" HREF=""><IMG BORDER="0" SRC=""></A><A BORDER="0" HREF=""><IMG BORDER="0" SRC=""></A>
  7. Seriously. I hate it when people whine about gas prices.
  8. Where do you live? I am still considering Compressed Natural Gas. It is equvilient to 130 Octane, you tend to lose a little power, but that can be made up by raising the compression or super/turbo charging. The biggest disadvatage is weight of the tanks.

Natural gas price here are floating at about $1.60 (Equivlent gallon) compared to the normal gas price of $2.40 a gallon.
  9. 5.50 for France
  10. civic, escape, silerado thats coming out, any one that looks like a normal car.
  11. Just get a turbo diesel car. Most of the Euro's will get you in the ballpark of 45mpg.
  12. I've heard/seen poor reliability with CNG engines.
If you have the option, go with LPG.
  13. wow, thats amazing ^^^, i didnt know it was that much. Prius, or regular Civic.

I also suppose a Escape would be good to, or wait for the Lexus 300h but that will cost more for obvious reasons!
