  1. I is curious too. Do you look like some dashing hero? (instead of the fat nasty devilish troll I'm becoming <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/wink.gif"></A>)

  2. I imagine it would affect your look regardless.

Theres rarely people completely by themselves anyway.

  3. so yesterday i tried to do a really good deed and kill the priest at the temple of the shadows but he wouldnt die <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/angry.gif"></A><A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/sad.gif"></A>

  4. Yeah, I'm pretty certain you get evil looking regardless if anyone sees you. It's not related to people's opinion of you, but your nature itself.

  5. Just beat Fable 2, have to say I'm a little disappointed. The Hero of skill is like the coolest character ever though.

  6. Most definitely a dashing hero. I'm about to take pics.

  7. I may rent dis shiz

  8. that seems pretty fast... did you do all the side quests first?

  9. I'm guessing you're a little disappointed partially because you beat it so quickly. I'm right before meeting Reaver and I've had it since a couple days before it came out. I probably have like 14 hours in it.

  10. No I didn't do all of the side quests or collect anything. I just wanted to beat the main story first. Some might like it, but I found it was much less epic than most other RPGs.

I suppose there is still a bunch more for me to do, but the main story didn't seem that great.

  11. Maybe. I managed to get myself two families and kids, plus I bought up a bunch of property and almost maxed out my stats. I pretty much have been playing it since I got it mid yesterday.

  12. Hmmm... that's actually some of the stuff I'm really enjoying. But yeah, sounds like you accomplished quite a bit. Any idea what your time is (it's in seconds, which is kind of annoying).

  13. Wild guess would say around 35,000 - 40,000.

But I could be way of. I'll post it when I play next tomorrow.

    Here's their full response...

The PS3 version looks the same as on Xbox, but things in the distance are slightly jaggier/rougher, the textures seem 'muddier' up-close and the frame rate is choppier, especially during the last few story missions (which may be the same on Xbox, but we've not seen the equivalent scenes to comment). We won't spoil anything, but the set-pieces here are MASSIVE, and the engine quivers under the weight of what's happening.

So, really, the difference between the Xbox and PS3 versions won't hamper your enjoyment of the game in ANY WAY. High-res textures or not, it's still the same huge, epic, absorbing, brilliant adventure.

And if you're bothered by a slightly inferior frame rate and fractionally blurrier textures, then perhaps, yes, you'd best buy the Xbox version, leaving the rest of us to enjoy an almost-identical, equally brilliant, game on PS3, while you smugly inspect concrete textures at terrifyingly close range to reap the full benefit, rather than, say, losing yourself in a 100 hour epic quest in an evocative post-apocalypse. Or having fun.

  15. Here's my guy. A decidedly piratey look, but not a dirty, evil pirate.

EDIT: And the halo is much more visible while actually playing. Added pics of why the ladies want me to be their needle in the hay and one of my brandishing my ballin' ass pistol.

I sure didn't see this one coming...

"So to commemorate my invasion onto the PS3, I made a cover song of Culture Club's "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me" exclusively for PAIN. I'm really happy with the way the track turned out. We definitely brought something new to such a classic, well-known tune, and when you hear it, you're going to like it. Sure, you know David Hasselhoff, but this song is like nothing I've done before."

he is basically saying you should CAN buy the 360 BUT gives the impression that the PS3 version is just as good because its on the PS3 and that your in some way doing a bad thing buy buying the superior version.

this is full of bias feelings... gah if you have both systems why would you ever buy the one that looks and performs worst? thats like buying a game on PS2 when you have a PS3 and there is a PS3 version out.

  18. I just wanted to point out that Danno's advice ("dont bother getting fallout 3 for ps3") was absolute garbage.

  19. agreed. unless you have a decent PC or a 360... i'll probably get it on the PC anyway, same with farcry 2 (if i get it)

  24. How do you get your guy in shape?

I got so sick of looking at my morbidly obese dude that he wears a big dress n' bonnet now <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>

Apparently the online PS2 community is still quite active...

"At 10am on a Friday morning, I found more than 900 online gamers playing Madden NFL 09, 20 of which were using USB headsets (any type will do). While getting lag-free schooled by a gamer from Atlanta, I was informed that he still plays Madden, NBA 2K8, Call of Duty 3, and a handful of other games using his PS2 network adapter.

An audit of other games produced similar, if not better results, in a single afternoon. SOCOM 3 boasted an impressive 3,000 users, hundreds of which were using headsets. Star Wars Battlefront 2 enjoyed more than 100 players with headsets, and TimeSplitters: Future Perfect was bustling with head-shot hungry gamers. Mortal Kombat Armageddon had only 30 online users, but matchmaking was quick and painless.

Given the much larger number of PS2 owners, not to mention soccer popularity in Europe, more people play FIFA 08 on the PS2 network than PlayStation 3, often resulting in a better matchmaking experience. And most online PS2 games share all the features one would expect on Xbox Live and PS3, including the aforementioned headset support (which is more than Wii can say), text messages, and of course, roster and game updates saved to a memory card.

Of the games I played, only Call of Duty 3 had problems, as I was unable connect to third-party servers after five attempts. The good news, however, is that PS2 owners can expect 2-3 times the above numbers during peak play at night."
