And I'm just curious to know. When I signed in with my old account, did it come up for anyone?
Pluto isn't a planet.
Im currently 170th.
That's because you play BF:BC at least 4-6 hours/day.
Anyway, I just got done playing six TDM rounds of the Resistance 2 beta and it's finally starting to grow on me.
Why did the awful looking Doom 3 get a better score on teh 360 than the PC?
I think by buying the limited edition or whatever.
And Stew, I don't think there's any way to change the look. I think there's basically a good dog and an evil dog.
Also, I just spent WAY too #$%#ing long getting 8 perfect rounds in the Crucible. Waste of #$%#ing time... especially considering the prize weapon is worse than the weapon I already had. I would've been able to finish it extremely quick but the last round is a #%!@ to get a good time on. Most rounds I beat with more than half the time left, but the last one I only managed to get by 2 seconds and that was after a bunch of attempts (which required me going through all 8 rounds every time). Like I said, waste of #$%#ing time.
As a first person shooter, Farcry 2 is far inferior to Crysis. The aiming feels sluggish, the guns don't feel very good, it's hard to tell if your shots are hitting, the AI is awful, and there is even less destructibility. The graphics are also not as good by a long shot, especially character models.
In gameplay, Farcry 2 also kinda sucks. It's trying to be GTA: First Person, and it doesn't work. I don't want to spend half the game driving between mission targets and mission givers like in GTA, especially since you have to stay on the narrow roads, and enemies respawn...
I'm so pissed about the way my Fable II guy turned out I'm starting a new game <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/sad.gif"></A>
ugh respawning enemies
Wow. I know EA Montreal made Assassin's Creed look much better than it was, so there was always a doubt in my mind that FC2 would be as good as all that. Hasn't it reviewed brilliantly, though? Anyway, I'm pleased with my choice to not buy FC2 and wait for Fallout 3 if what you're saying is true.
Assassin's Creed also started off with insanely high 90 reviews, like Far Cry 2. Like Assassin's Creed, it looks good visually, and presents new ideas and good animations, so everyone is impressed. Unfortunately, like Assassin's Creed, there is a lot of tedious and boring fighting and travel time.
Ugh, I feel really bad now. I paid for Far Cry 2, so I'm going to beat it (skipping side quests). However, I'm not going to even be getting achievements out of this, which makes me extra annoyed.
I should've got Fable 2 instead.
That said, Far Cry 2 is still an ~80-85 game, and I'm sure some people would enjoy it. It's just hard to enjoy when you've played better, and recently.
It seems like you don't hate the game, so I take that to be a very good sign. You are really picky (except when it comes to oddball Wii games like Blue Ocean).
Damn I was about to pick up Far Cry 2 because I loved the 1st one but the comments on here make me rethink it.
Yeah I really like. That I'm willing to re-play the last 20 hours to improve my appearance I think proves that <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/wink.gif"></A>
Did anyone pickup Midnight Club? I'd like to give it a go but NFS comes out next month adn I'm rather worred MC is just the driving aspect of GTIV
The first Farcry was made by CryTek. Ubisoft bought the name, and Ubisoft made Farcry Instincts, Farcry Predator, and Far Cry 2. The first 2 are console port bastardizations of the original, and Far Cry 2 is a completely different game/universe, and the name is just there to sound familiar.
CryTek made Crysis and Crysis Warhead (huge improvements but similar style to original Farcry) which are awesome games and way better than Far Cry 2.

Apparently Frank Gibeau of EA Games just confirmed that they have plans to make a sequel to Battlefield: Bad Company.
I'm happy. <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/grin.gif"></A>
Too bad, I absolutely loved the first Far Cry and I love Crysis too.
Have any of the NFS/MC games of the past 2-3 years been any good?
I'm not trying to be a jerk, but I'm surprised that people still care about those franchises. <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/confused.gif"></A>
I'm debating whether or not I should just buy Fable 2 now, and play it concurrently with Far Cry 2, to make the grind through Far Cry 2 less painful. I might do that.
Get Fable II and play it until Banjo is out.
Crysis is the spiritual successor to Far Cry 1, if you didn't already know that. FC2 has absolutely nothing to do with 1. The only reason, it seems, that they kept the name was to take advantage of it.
If you don't care about pre-order bonuses, Dell.ca has Banjo today for $25 pre-order, free shipping. Just a heads up. It's also got Fallout 3 for $10 off.
I've been harassing the guys at ISI (the company behind rFactor) to make a PSN version of the game, or at least think about making the sequel not be PC-exclusive, and I just got this reply from the lead designer...
"I won't rule out the possibility of console version but I have serious doubts it's going to happen with rF2 in terms of a combined PC/Console release. That said it may be possible to port it later if the interest is there.
That said, I have been very interested in the perceptions some of you have concerning the console platform and if it becomes a possibility, however unlikely, it's good to read your points of view."
