  1. this car may look good but it does 0-60 in 5.9....that sucks because it isn't a supercar performance...so...it just looks like a supercar

0-60 is too Supercar performance... any car that will shove you back in your seat is a Supercar to me! My VW Corrado does 0-60 in 6.7, but you don't hear me complaining do you? Yeah, didn't think so - because it is FAST!<!-- Signature -->

Okay, i am not saying this car isnt a supercar, but i mean look at it. It has the looks of a cougar and a Bugatti Veyron mixed together, yet a WRX could smoke it. It needs to get a lot more power<!-- Signature -->

This is a concept which might hit the european market. In europ the main sales are diesel vehicles and 4cyl or 6cyl. So in term of economy the perf are quite good. And don't forget that Peugeot don't build big cars. The 206 and 306 are little ones with 137hp max. But a 306 of 170hp is to come I think.<!-- Signature -->

Besides the focus on this kind of cars is the handling and the reduced weight. A fine example is the Lotus Elise which weights at a mere 700 kg and uses a 140 or 190 HP engine and handles like a dream on th track.

well, to tell u the truth, this has pretty good performance for a 178 hp car, very good performance actually, it could easily blow away a base or GT mustang for example. I would like to see a larger engine though....a V8 or something; that combined with this cars weight and looks would be great.

  7. Re: nice looking but,sux in performance..

The main point here in Europe is that one of the two concepts featured a 2.2 Liter Diesel Engine with 170 hp and about 250 lbft of torque (400 Nm).

Other Specs are about the same: 6s for 0-60 mph and 140+ mph top speed.

And this at 50+ MpG definitely beats any TT or Lotus... <IMG SRC="http://www.supercars.net/servlets/cMsg/html/emoticons/smile.gif">

let's not forget it has a flat 4, so for that engine, it has great performances<!-- Signature -->

  10. Re: nice looking but,sux in performance..

if a car is going to look near exotic it's got to perform that way. it's good in weight, but I suggest at least adding another 2 to make it an inlie-6. that would haul a little better.

  11. Re: nice looking but,sux in performance..

No need for that , increase the number of cylinders and you increase the room required in the engine bay , the weight of the engine , the front-rear weight distribution is changed and so on...
