Nissan GT-R: 7:50 at the Nurburgring

Discussion in 'Asian Forums' started by ajzahn, Nov 24, 2007.

  1. The GTR ran 7.38 like the Z06 is a 10 second car.

  2. I can't really get excited over this car, I know it is/will be great but like the R8 and modern Aston Martins it just seems so meh to me <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/sad.gif"></A>

  3. More like 20,8km <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/wink.gif"></A>

  4. Well, to be fair.

Horst von Sauma did the Z06 on a dry track in 7:49. So for the same driver to do a 7:50 with wet patches on the track amounts to it being pretty fast.

  5. Unless somebody decides to run the z06 and the GTR on the same day on the same tires, then you people just need to SHUT THE **** UP!

  6. +1

plus, the Nring is as relavent as 0-60 times. the Hring is much more useful. as stated, the track is so HUGE that one part can be wet and another bone dry. do all conditions go equally documented? no.

    wait for the Supertest.

  7. NO! all that matters is lap times and numbers numbers numbers numbers numbersssss

  8. Funny how nobody else is backing up those times

  9. The average enthusiast would probably have trouble breaking 9min.

  10. I could do it in 6.

  11. I can do your mom in 5.

  12. I can name that tune in 3.

  13. omg avatar

  14. I could do it in 2.

  15. 10 seconds.

  16. Now you are throwing around speculation like its fact just as badly as the Nissan fanbois.

  17. most reviewers will have limited time behind the gt-r until someone buys them in december.

expect most times to be around 7:50 for obvious reasons! it doesnt take someone retarded to understand that (not targeting anyone). with limited time in the car, limited time on the track. the Ring is often full, and not always dry. there are differnt drivers and differnt skills and methods of driving.
    So many factors.

the GT-R did run a 7:38.5x on a production SPEC car. it did this with a pro driver that has much time behind the wheel of the gt-r and much time at the tracks it was on. obviously it can do slightly faster without wetspots, but the car couldnt do much better without better tires.

any other driver isnt going to do as well until they have alot of time behind the seat of the car. but being that the first impression of the car is 7:50, thats amazing to begin with!

  18. 911 killer?

It's faster than all 911s except the GT2.

  21. .00000000...0001

  22. huh? where is the official gt-r time in that list? with video proof! using a nissan production spec gt-r as noted in the press releases' there is also a compairo video that shows the nissan run right next to the zonda which did it in 7:27.... proof that it did that time! i dont see why everyone is really blind?

There are 15 911 models, and it set a time slower than just 3 models (GT3, GT3 RS and GT2) in a partially wet track. So it's faster than 80% of 911's out there (the real percentage is even bigger because very few GT2, Gt3, GT3 RS are sold). It also cost's less than the cheapest and slowest 911. So I call it a 911 killer.

  24. He "forgot" to put the 7:38 time the GT-R had. So that means that only the GT2 is faster in the Ring.
