Nurburgring Lap Times

  1. Don't confuse what I'm saying. Where are you going? I think you aren't get. I'm not questioning about the GT2's power, nor HvS's committment. I know the GT2 is the same car. I agree your points 1 and 2.
    My point is simply: According they use different methods with some of the sector data. Are you so sure that SA don't use a static speed trap system for the ** top speed before the Antoniusbuche?
     
  2. I'm saying neither of us know. "**top speed" could be anywhere on that section near Antoniusbuche. If SA gets a higher top speed after Antoniusbuche, then why don't they list it as such?? After all, that is the car's true highest speed not just for the sector, but for any place else on the entire track. And that, I believe, is the entire point of SA differentiating between "* max speed before braking" and "** top speed". The latter seems to indicate max speed at any point on the track.
    If HvS acheives the GT2's "top speed" prior to Antoniusbuche, then it proves he is unable to go flat out and gain the extra kph's that WR gains while going into Tiergarten. This shows a relative lack of comittment. Whether it's this case or the other (both traps taken at Tiergarten), it doesn't matter because either is detrimental to your cause: You have backed yourself into a corner out of which there is no outcome but to either admit that
    1) peak DH speed differentials can be attributed entirely to driver comittment, or
    2) there really can be 9 kph difference between drivers in the same exact car.

    Your contention before was that the speed differential between Suzuki and HvS's printed data MUST PROVE noticeably higher hp in the mules. But how can you prove this if you don't even know WHERE the trap speed is taken? This would be like saying Car A must clearly have more power than Car B and ignoring the fact that Driver B's speed was slower because he wasn't as familiar with the car and started braking earlier (and thus, at the same static point on the track, Car B was slower for reasons that have absolutely NOTHING to do with power).

    I already know SA and AB use different methods for listing data at portions of the track. What you have still not proven is that their trap speed data is taken from different points near the end of DH. Where is your proof? Your Ex-Muehle example proves nothing. Nor does your Radical example (screen caps taken from from Vergers's record lap, I presume?).

    Infact, all this make sense. Your is surely a proof. SA surely don't use static speed traps system. We have just only a **top speed mentioned on the track.

  7. The SportAuto top speed is usually to low for the Antoniusbuche. It's a straight 2.2 kms long after the Galcenkopf. I think it's next Grune Holle restaurant.
