Every American should have respect for the French, without them the US would probably not have gained it's independence when it did.

Just some useless fact..<!-- Signature -->

Bugatti is still around... Remember that. The French are about to dethrone the McLaren F1 on the "fastest production car" hierarchy. Gonna sell it cheaper, too!<!-- Signature -->

hehe im lookin forward to it. of course, in bugatti's case, its one of those situations where the company was RESURRECTED... not sure if it was by french, but i still look at it as Bugatti and not someone else<!-- Signature -->

  10. Re: Once more

French cars have been extremely important to automotive developement. People like Andre Citroen have helped make the car possible. Renault designed the F1 engine that serves and the basis for all F1 engines used today. Ettore Bugatti (who was born in Italy, but built his cars in France) was one of the greatest automotive innovators ever, designing and racing some of the most extrodinary cars ever built. Although the French might have left the US b/c they made bad cars 15 years ago, a lot has changed, and any level headed enthusiast is probably wishing they could buy a Puegeot 406 Coupe, Renault Cilo Sport, or any other number of French beauties.<!-- Signature -->
