Packard should make a return.....

  1. Packard should return to the automotive industry and start making some ultra-luxury cars. kind of like what Maybach is trying to do with the 2002 Saloon. that would be kinda cool. <!-- Signature -->

They tried to revive the company a few years ago, it seemed to show that some things are just better left alone.

I agree with Sinister. Packard is a major part of American automotive history. They should revive the company. Something in the line of super luxury cars would be a good idea. Americans love big limousines and have enough money to pay for such cars - why pay all the bucks to foreign companies if the country can actually manufacture luxury automobiles themselves. Very unfortunate that Packard had to go under due to bad management.

NO, Packard should be left to be the true legend it is. Packards after WWII were already showing signs that were completely foreign to what had once been one of the world's premier marques. It was best that it faded away. Packards were never intended for the "masses."

Reincarnating Packard now would be a colossal waste of effort. The EPA would dictate every facet of whatever the product ended up as, and we have quite enough mandated vehicles as it is...

    R.I.P.
