So I went to register that Canon 6D I bought used in December for insurance and suprise it was stolen. So goodbye SLR. #$%# and I just bought a Tamron SP 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC. Now do I buy another 6D (retail this time haha), or go back to a crop sensor and pick up a 7D MKII or cheap out and just get a 70D. Sucks its only sept, all the good deals are a couple months away.
damn that sucks. did you buy it in a store or from a craigslist kind of guy? The 5 and 6D do have great ISO specs. Is the 7d also ff? I'd love a 5D, but they're way too expensive for me
7D is a crop sensor. If say 6D if you don't shoot action stuff, 7D if you do. The FPS and autofocus is much better on the 7D, but the overall image quality is better on the 6D. I have the 6D and am very happy with it.
I just hate the AF points on the 6D after using it for almost a year. I'll probably just get another one however as I just hate the idea of crop sensors and the 1.6 factor when dealing with using a lens. If I shoot with a 28-70 f/2.8 at 35mm f/2.8 I want to actually shoot with that setting. On a 7D that will give me roughly 56mm f/4.5. Edit: Picked up a Canon T1i with the kit lens for $220. Decently cheap and should keep me entertained for a couple months. Then I can hopefully snag a sweet holiday deal on a FF. I wont even bother with the kit lens, I'll just shoot with a Tamron 28-70 f/2.8 instead. Unless I can trade off my 24-105 f/4L IS for a 17-55 f/2.8 IS.
So everyone just uses their cell phone these days. That's cool. To see so many people with the passion for photography.
The best shot I've taken with my phone: http://imgur.com/IfSdoR8 (because scnet upload function is no work for me) Crooked horizon (?) and who knows what other faux pas be damned. Twas an amazing place.
damn, that place is beautifull! amazing what phones do nowadays. I was just looking through some motorola pics of about 10 years ago. Pics as big as a stamp and blurry as hell lol.
Nikon D5 @ 12fps The ISO race still hasn't stopped either, it seems. This manages 100-102400 standard but is expandable to 50-3280000
hah yeah i saw that video yesterday, the buffer is impressive i flew back to van with chemicals and a dev tank. light hours at work this week so i may go on a photo mission or two this weekend. hopefully the snow doesnt make driving shitty
The 412 was actually a better car than its VAZ counter part, but VAZ clearly won. Moskvich's VAZ 2108 competitor was pretty cool too.
decided to upload a full res photo. usually i only upload pictures at 1024x768. can't believe how crisp and sharp this picture is. http://www.flickr.com/photos/ruerdleenstra/23584315104/sizes/o/
Taiwan looks really cool. I really like the shot from the ground, looking up at Taipei 101. This is the first thing I've uploaded to Flickr in 5 years. I need to set up a proper computer monitor. These were edited on my TV, so I have no idea how they actually look. lol http://www.flickr.com/photos/jwfranklin/ Still I'm just pleased I actually took my camera out and did a photo. It's been the first really decent day of the year, although holy crap it was cold on that hill. EDIT: #$%#offhttps
