    thanks man :D

    wonder when it comes...

  4. Re: Pictures of the new Koenigsegg engine!

How does Koenigsegg intend to apply this engine? Are they building a new car?

  5. Re: Pictures of the new Koenigsegg engine!

They indentent it to be in the first car but that did't happend.
I belive that in some near future they have a car with that engine.

  6. Re: Pictures of the new Koenigsegg engine!

Expect to see it soon in a new Koenigsegg model.

  7. Re: Pictures of the new Koenigsegg engine!

Alright, I can't post, so Im asking my question as a reply. How can this car do 240mph when it redlines at 7500rpm? Work backwords with me. 240mph=1260480ft/h=21008ft/min=4458.2revolutions of wheel per min(using the 18inch diameter, swept area=(PIx18)/12 to put it into feet). Then using the Final gear drive ratio and 6th gear gearbox ratio, I got the car has to be doing 10,663rpms to go this speed... Error on supercars or my calculations? Help plz

    Nice pics.

  9. Re: Pictures of the new Koenigsegg engine!

    Stupid formulas are never right!
    dont use them!
There are sooo many other factors that affect top speed!

  10. Re: Pictures of the new Koenigsegg engine!

    most likely the former

  11. Re: Pictures of the new Koenigsegg engine!

I'd say that if you have the right formula, and apply it correctly, with accurate information, it will be right.

However, you entered an 18inch wheel diameter? What you need is teh tire diameter. You are short on wheel size, not long on Engine RPM, theres nothing wrong with your formula.

The 18in is just the wheel, not including the tire. with a 315/40-18, what would be the tire diameter? (or profile height, and just add 2x that to the wheel diamter)

At any rate, you're looking at a total height of at least 22 inches (which would be a very low profile tire, with only 2 inches of tire height).

Forgive me if I use metric

    240mph = 386km/h = 107.2667m/s ...... 6436m/min
tire circumference at 22inches (58.3cm) total will be 1.832m, so that means 3513rpm on teh wheel. Which using the final drive and 6th gear makes........ 8400engine RPM. That's closer, but just a guess on tire height.

If I go around teh other way, then at 7500rpm, in sixth, you're getting 3135 wheel RPM..... which to hit 240mph I think requires a wheel height of 65cm? about 25 inches. Which would mean the tire is about 3.5inches high. Which is entirely reasonable.

(I actually read that Koenigsegg intentionall used a slightly narrower tire to reduce drag, but used a taller profile to keep the contact patch about the same size)

So this is the beginning of the Koenigsegg CC 12S?

Could someone please post the pics because the link doesn't work.

  13. Re: Pictures of the new Koenigsegg engine!

yer, its not working now, page down

  14. Re: Pictures of the new Koenigsegg engine!

The only reason this car wouldn't do 240mph+ is if it was too unstable at high speeds. The CC is lighter, more aerodynamic, and more powerful than the McLaren F1, so it only makes sense that it would be at least as fast.

  15. Re: Pictures of the new Koenigsegg engine!

you know how their factory burnt down and all do u think they have another one??? if not i don't think that we will see the engine in a car any time soon

  16. Re: Pictures of the new Koenigsegg engine!

the new engine for the CCR is 800bhp!!

  17. Re: Pictures of the new Koenigsegg engine!

You had a mistake, the wheels are 18 inches in diameter... WITHOUT the tires. You forgot to include the tires. Probably it's about 24 inches with the tires...

Re: Pictures of the new Koenigsegg engine!

Hey everybody first thing is there is a koenigsegg website www.koenigsegg.com
    2. The top speed was tested and it reached 242 mph
    3. the top speed was set by the 8S and now the CCR exists
    4. the 8S has 655 horses and the CCR has 806
    5. and finally I got a private meeting with the 8S and I have pictures of myself sitting on the tail of the 8S.

    I will eventually get one!!!
    Koenigsegg is best, Ferrari sucks
