Porsche Cayman GT4 Spy Photos Reveal Wild New Look

A more hardcore version of Porsche’s small sports car is on its way and our spy photographers caught the German brand testing the vehicle.

The Cayman GT4, as it is rumored to be called, will receive a power boost, but it isn’t clear how exactly that will be achieved. The current 3.4-liter flat six could be tuned for more power, or there is a possibility of the car running a turbocharged four-cylinder engine mated to a hybrid setup. Even with the bump in power, most of this car’ s performance will come from added aerodynamics and reduced weight.

Large air intakes and an air outlet on the front end of this car mirror the Porsche 911 GT3, and give the car a more aggressive appearance compared to the standard Cayman. A massive rear wing is also fitted along with large brake calipers, cross-drilled rotors, a lower ride height and new multi-spoke wheels.

All put together, Porsche wants this car to be the most agile in the Cayman lineup. In fact, it’s certain to outperform a few of the 911s.

  2. That looks awesome and probably goes like hell, but I wouuld prefer the GTS if I were to get a Cayman. A performance package to the normal Cayman S, but still liveable for the everyday commute.
  3. About #$%#ing time.
  4. Rather have the Alfa 4C
  5. finally a decent spoiler
  6. They should just go all out and make a Cayman GT2.
  7. all it needs is some huge vinyl graphics and a NOS button...

I don't think it'll stay looking like that for production. the end plates look like a proper afterthought.
  8. I just cant see the point of having that huge spoiler on the back.
  9. I'm always amazed at how Porsche can always find a way to improve and irritate at the same time, but for me I like the new Cayman GT4.
  10. Irritate pretty much is how I feel about porsche now. There are so many versions of everything and so many new models. I don't know. I just don't see them as a unique company anymore. IMO
