  1. Learning that I know nothing about the true nature of love and God, and never will, and don't care that I won't.
  2. I grew up in a religious, conservative community, but my family is not originally from the region.
  3. this sounds quite interesting. Do you want to expand/explain a bit?
  4. That would explain why they need therapy.
  5. I realized this in a deep moment of introspection during a tough time in my life. I once held the mindset about how everything is so puny, cars are just metal and glass driven by the remains of plants animals that lived millions of years ago, etc., etc., life is pointless. And I realized that as true as that may be, I love to love, to laugh, and enjoy my life. I'm only going to live it once, and it's no use to me to waste my time understanding the metaphysical intricacies and implications of it, because thats not going to help me enjoy life more, following my heart and my God is. And that's what I care about most now. Enjoying my friends, my family, and the good life and love that I have been blessed with.
  6. awesome, thanks for explaining <A BORDER="0" HREF=""><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>
  7. ok, so im assuming some of them were converted and you saw some of the stupid stuff that generally goes on in very conservative/extreme religions?
  8. Anyone who says he knows who is going to heaven is either lying or insane.
  9. I know I am going to heaven, dunno about anyone else. <A BORDER="0" HREF=""><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>
  10. You're delusional.
  11. The two best things I've learnt, I've learnt this year.

    You're only young once.

Don't give a shit what people think about you.
  12. We cannot judge the nature of people by our very nature, but we must judge their actions.
  13. maybe so, i can support it from the Bible if you'd like when I get home.
  14. The Bible is full of shit, but ok.
  15. No, my family's craziness and criminality has nothing to do with religion. I can't, nor do i want to, blame religion in any way shape or form for my family's behavior.
  16. Its quite obvious by explaining from the Bible it wont make a scrap of difference to you, so i wont bother.
  17. It's so nice that you don't. Because its a very easy thing to blame things on, but people have resposnsibility for their actions.

SCN is so awesome. Threads like this at one end of the spectrum, and STFU CORKS at the other.
  18. Gee, thanks. Now I have to go to hell because you're too lazy to foist your religion on to me. Take some hints from Mclaren777.
  19. If anything, religion has helped, if only slightly.
  20. Regardless of its validity, practicing a religion that is peaceful properly is a good thing.
  21. I totally agree. It's unfortunate that my cousin couldn't learn this. He spent a year on a mountain in Tibet learning buddhism, then got drunk and put a bouncer in the hospital.
  22. Probably good grammer.
  23. Well, if he had chosen the CORRECT religion, he wouldn't have been in that situation.
  24. What is the correct religion?
  25. That would be a sweet way to spend a year.
