1. Yeah, she's pretty great. So super friendly and easy going. Very much lab in her personality - very contrasting to the terrier in Sherlock.

  4. Be careful with a wolf hybrid. One of my friends has one that is near 50% wolf, rear hip problems are common for them, her hybrid avoided that though. She has already come to terms that 2010 will be his final year of life, his anal glands have ceased to function, he has lost 15 lbs across a one month period. He is only 9 years old.

  5. i heard n hybrids you have to replace the batteries every 5 years and its expensive
    hahaah

  6. You heard wrong, they only have unintentional acceleration.

  7. Yeah, we've had quite a few of them in the extended family. This pup is only about a quarter wolf. We've had some as much as 90% though, just incredible pets.

  8. PUPPIES

  9. yo fordman, 9 years is quite old for a big dog, my dog's about 8 and he's considered old, and its showing. for wolf hybrid type shit 9 is def old. don't expect big dogs to live much past 10

I can't wait till we get ours in about a years time.

  15. what kind of dog is it?

  16. mix of malamute/german shepard/lab and i dunno what else. cool dog, will post pics in a bit

  17. ya do post pics. Sheppards/labs aren't really big dogs per se, maybe your dog's just a fattie? I meant more bigger boned dogs like mastiffs, rottweilers, great danes, st bernards and shit

  18. My childhood lab made it to 14, which is pretty amazing.

  19. Labs generally have serious hip issues though.

  20. mutts are generally longer lived anyways, so I wouldn't put it past a large malumute mix to live 12-15 with the right care.

  21. my ex housemate had a chow/belgian shepard mix. extremely stubborn dog with it's own agenda, but totally awesome outside dog. it would go on 2 week adventures, jeff would find him one day driving back to his house in Georgia hills, try and get him in the, but the dog wouldn't have it. he'd just push him away with his thick chow head. jeff said it was intelligent, but had a very strong independent streak in him. That's totally chow love that breed.
