Rageous

Discussion in '1997 Pontiac Rageous Concept' started by ivanhoe, Aug 10, 2002.

  1. Its too bad that the future of Pontiac will be based on SUV's and hybrid vehicles because the Rageous looked so damn cool, it could have been the next gen Firebird or something<BR

  2. Re: Rageous

    yeah it could have been
but its 2 god damn tons... damn.

also am i correct in assuming that the concept used the ls1 engine (i base this assumption by the 5.7l 315bhp @ 5400rpm info)

    uhhm
well, actually it was an LT1 V-8, with a smaller fuel thank .

the driveshaft and rear suspension are from a corvette parts bin, and the front suspension is Firebird-Trans Am modified one<!-- Signature -->

I saw this car at this very car show! The rims are #$%#ing humungus! 22inches.

This could have been the best Wagon in the world. I would take this over an Audi S6 Wagon.<!-- Signature -->

yeah and the best thing is it doesnt look like a soccer-mom-car-type...
    I mean its not wagon-ish...
doesnt look heavy, but rather agressive and yeah the rims are just huge...<!-- Signature -->

well again this car was considered a one off, I guess much of its "sort-of-follow up" the Montana Thunder concept minivan (imagine a crossover between this car ,and a Montana...) it seems though that GM comittee decided the future of Pontiac rested on SUV's so they decided not to make anything that could fill the gap once the Firebird is dropped...

Where Did they get the tires from For those RIMS! Goodyear doesn't make 22 inch tires?!?<!-- Signature -->

  14. Re: Rageous

uhm... well this is a concept car right? that means is a one-off, hand-built model, (except for some engine and suspension parts)... take a look at most new concept cars, they have 21, 22 inch wheels on them...
