Re: raise your hands if you like this car I've got both of them as high as they'll go, and they're not comin' down. This car rocks.
Re: raise your hands if you like this car Don't worry about buying this car as only 14 were made. However buy a 944 (built on the same frame) and get an aftermarket or rebuilt 968 turbo s engine for the 944. It will cost a lot less than buying a turbo s and the preformance will be about the same. This entire operation will run about 20,000 plus the cost of the 944. In about six years I will be doing this to my 1987 944 and will have a beautiflu wolf in sheeps clothing. The expense will be woth it. I have already lowered and retuned my suspension, got eh proper engine mounts, and have had Porsche certified mechanics working on the prep for this operation. I have a true dual exhaust and plan to put twin turbos in this engine and thus boosting the horse and torque even more. The frame has been reenforced and redone as well. The body may be different but the preformance will be the same.
Re: raise your hands if you like this car i love 968/944. i gota 944 myself..pretty cheap but kicking ass
Re: raise your hands if you like this car from what i hear those powerhaus conversions are extremely expensive. from what i understand the 968 is extremely rare, but ocasionally change hands for around 35 to 45 grand. for lots more info check out 968.net
Re: raise your hands if you like this car they should put the turbo RS race car on here.<!-- Signature -->
Re: raise your hands if you like this car My hand is up. It's a beauty. Fun to drive and people look at it a lot. It ain't air-cooled or rear-engined but it's in line with the Porsche philosophy.
Re: raise your hands if you like this car After seeing one of these on the track, I'll definitely raise my hand.
Re: raise your hands if you like this car 15 only made??? collector's car for sure..same torque as same year's 928 i believe
Re: raise your hands if you like this car The 968 is my favorite of the front engined Porsches for sure. I've heard of powerhaus and yes they do build very powerful turbocharged 968s. A guy that lives in my city has one with 525bhp and 530lb/ft and it sounds sweet, I never noticed how nice a 4 cylinder could sound but the 3 liter Porsche 4 banger is sweet!
