Even though that would be very very nice, it needs refienment before it could compete with M5, or E55's. Instead do the same Idea but use the Cadillac Seville STS instead. <!-- Signature -->

That would be nice. But what about an Eldorado up against the CLK55 or M3?

This car is not intended to be a race car. It's similar to the Cadillac STS with the northstar engine. The bonneville's just a little sportier with a tighter suspension, harder shifts and the tranny's probably tuned a little higher. It's ok, not much different than the old model or even a Grand Prix. I've come to the conclusion that Cadillac's suck. 10 years, 3 cadillacs and more cash than expected out the rear they suck. Totally unreliable. I love how they drive and all but they just can't hold it together. My mom had to have the heads rebuilt with only 60,000 miles. I've heard that the metal is very pourous with the Northstar. That's my two cents.

The new Bonneville and the caddy has been held back by their computer tuning issues. Not much more holds back the slight performance market for the car.

There are stand alone computers available but most don’t want to spend the money.

there is a CTS with over 1000 hp and yes if you look outside the world fed to you and think past what you purchase you can have a caddy with serious power. Enough to stomp on the "refined" lemming box.

So take a deep breath and try and imagine a cts with 1000 HP????

A 4.6l Northstar turbo kit is coming for the masses but until then it’s a custom build.

If you have to ask its too expensive.

When seriously modifying a car, just swap out the Northstar and drop in a Ls6 and a rwd format. Simple really. Pick up any fwd caddy or Bonneville and either have a turbo made or swap in a ls6 with a few tweaks. Either way you can have what you want…..Oh and don’t give me the smog excuse there are legal ways to have your cake and eat it too.

Its EASY to hate any fool can do it.
