  2. Wow, Mr. John Lingenfelter knows his stuff. He's one of the few people in America that can respectivally make a car faster. I'm sick and tired of "kids" thinking they are the best know it alls in the world. They strap on a $100 fin and a loud lawn mower sounding exhaust pipe on their friekin Civic and call it good. I wonder how their mind thinks. I just don't understand it. If anyone can explain this to me, please do so......<!-- Signature -->

  3. No one said it was the best. Just REALLY great acceleration and a supposedly good top speed. With the right street legal tires I'm sure the car would still have a 0-60 time well under 3 sec.

  4. This vette had slicks on it though right?<!-- Signature -->

  5. people make me sh!t with the ligenfelter.

I don't care at all about this car.

  6. yes the vette did have slicks on it for that run. I wonder if it would still be that decent with normal rubber. I highly doubt it so u can't say that it is the best car.<!-- Signature -->

  7. 02' Lingenfelter Vette fastest street legal car???

Sorry, has nothing to do with this car but had to share the stats I just found on the 02' Lingenfelter Vette. Just read an article in the June 02' issue of Motortrend that compares Lingenfelter's new 800 hp Vette to a F/A-18 hornet (as a joke kinda). Anyway, Lingenfelter's Vette did the 1/4 in 9.24 and 0-60 in 1.97 sec. on 92 octane gas!! All whiile getting 15 to 24 miles per gallon. Top speed is estimated (guess they didn't get to top speed) at 240 mph. Also makes 884 foot lb. of torque. Faster than any Viper ever built and faster than nearly all of Europe's exotics!! All the numbers came from the June issue of Motortrend so don't call me a liar because the magazine is sittin right in front of me. Here's some more of the numbers.

    0-30 mph .83
    0-40 mph 1.2
    0-50 mph 1.59
    0-60 mph 1.97
    0-70 mph 2.44
    0-80 mph 3.06
    0-90 mph 3.67
    0-100 mph 4.33
    0-150 mph 9.21

    Sweet!!

  8. what is then? (I don't know its top speed but what is faster?)<!-- Signature -->

  9. Highest top speed yes , fastest no.

Fastest means overall performance.<!-- Signature -->

one is stret legal and one is not. The chevy camp has that ZL1 camaro that keeps pace with you boss mustang. what is your point?

  21. To bad its still a vette. You see more vettes then passats around here. All to common for me to be spendin 50k+ on(rather get a slightly used M3 <IMG SRC="http://www.supercars.net/servlets/cMsg/html/emoticons/smile.gif">).

  22. for the money you would spend on that vette you could make yourself a rippin new M3, although it wouldn't be nearly as fast it look better, fit more people, and it would definately be fast enough to smoke everyone on the road.<!-- Signature -->

I believe they were Mickey Thompson Street slicks, weren't they?<!-- Signature -->

  24. Yah. They're street legal tires but with a minimum amount of tread. As close to a slick as you can get and still be street legal.
