Spider is a kind of car, it's not a name.
Names like sedan, coupe, hatchback, notchback, fastback, rodaster, cabriolet, convertible, targa, landau roof...They're all "kinds of cars".
Spider is a car with no roof.
Roadster is a car with a detachable roof
Cabriolet is normally a vinil convertible roof.
Convertible a "solid steel" convetible roof.
Targa is half vinil and half detachable roof.
Landau roof is a solid no convertible roof with vinil aplied on it...
If I made some mistakes please.... help me !!!!<!-- Signature -->
Spider is not a "car with no roof" in fact, most Spiders have convertible roofs... like the 3000GT VR-4 Spyder and the Eclipse Spyder... but he was right about one thing... it's a type of car, a designation that means the car is a type of convertible. The best Syders have a retractable hardtop that folds into the trunk automatically... see Spyder, 3000GT VR-4.<!-- Signature -->
