your kidding right? A car with less power than a Porsche GT2 and the same weight manages to run that time when a GT2 runs 11.8-12.0 et times. No way there that quick and for the same money an rx7 would beat it yes. Corvettes are nice and all, but they ain't a 10-11 second car.

Sony speakers r all show and no go, put some focals, alpines or kickers in and you'll be laughing. Stuff the nos, strengthen the internals and upgrade the fuel system etc and bolt on a intercooler and replace the standard turbos with twin HKS 3240's or bolt on a single trust T88H 34D(high flow version) and you'll be laughin. there r plenty of rx-7s in japan running this both of these combos that run high 9 second on street tyres!

Keep the RX-7's rollin' out.. They are great cars, and with mods, can be a potent street racer. As for those who say sony audio blows, got to #$%#ing hell. Take 2 of their 3-way 6x9's, 2 4 1/4 woofers with 1 1/2 composites matched to crossovers, an xplod 52 x 4 deck, wit a jensen 500 watt amp powering 2 15'' xplod subs, and you'll blow the piss outta any other system, without overdoing it. and they aren't too pricey. it would be sweet in this car. i have this system, and no one in the area can come close to me. bought by me, installed by me, and tweaked by me. Phoenix Gold, JL, and any other brand other than Rockford, concept, and xtant (these guys know their shit) can go back and listen to thier shitty sounding speakers. <!-- Signature -->

Mention NOS and idiots can't help but say "duuuude, the Fast and the Furious ROOOOOCKS, maaan!!!" Complete bulls***. For anything but drag racing, nitrous oxide ("NOS" is the brand name, kids) is painfully impractical. The RX7's strengths lie in handling and light weight. An RX7 with light modifications would be a match for pretty much anything this side of a 360 Modena. I'm not saying it would win outright, but it would be a good race against a Z06 'Vette. And one more thing. The cars (and that Mia girl, yum) were the only good things about that damned movie. Besides having a wealth of retarded information (the "double clutching" bit was notorious, but I also really enjoyed the part where the engine in the Eclipse starts to go... so part of his floor falls out), this movie had two of the worst lines ever heard. "I live my life a 1/4 mile at a time" and "It doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile, blah blah blah." What a bunch of crap.
