Forst of all, I live in America, but sometimes a country isn't the absolute best at everything in the universe...well, just a theory. Anyways I hardly think that todays domestics can compete with European competition. Japanese? Maybe...but American cars have horrible matinence and therefore aren't very practical nowadays. If you take the pinnacles of both continents creations I think you'll see. Lets pit a Bugatti 16-4 Veyron and pit it against a Dodge Viper. No offense, but I think we can see the winner here. And guess what...the 1000hp Bugatti is made by VOLKWAGEN, so kiss my 1.8L Turbocharged ass. The Venom 800 shouldn't count because its aftermarket extreme. I think this is the best Japaness supercar ever made to go head to head with the ferrari. The supra and the skyline gt-r are good cars, but I don't think they can compete against the likes of ferrari like the nsx. I think this car stands on top out of all the japanese supercars. Nothing against other japanses cars, I love them all especially the skyline gt-r and the supra, but this is a great car.
I want someone to give me one way the NSX is better than the Z06. I don't want any opinions now, I'd prefer a number conparison. I know you will all scream bloody murder when I just ask for numbers but that is what I want to hear. Forget the reliablilty argument here, both of these cars are pretty much toys and aren't meant to be utilitarian. The refinement argument is also pretty much a cop-out, the person in the vette won't hear you screaming about your refinement issues when he is pulling away from you at the stoplight. I know this may sound prickish but I'm just trying to speak my mind.

I think honda could have given this a more powerful engine. 280 hp is nice for a car that cost's from $25,000 to $35,000 but for a car that will cost up to 90,000 in the end I think someone would be better off in a viper or a zo6 vette. Although heavier they do and will outperform this sad excuse of a supercar. Honda should equip this with a supercharger or a turbocharger to get the power a car of this price deserves. Or just stroke and bore the engine for more displacement. So many options out there they failed on. For whatever reason someone buys this car there is always a better option in my view. An Ultima GTR will cost about the same but looks better and performs like a mclaren f1. If you want a six cylinder car look at a TVR tuscan for example. Keep looking there are better options out there.
