1. looks good to me!

2. The 959 was originally intended to be a Group B car, this is pretty obvious considering the prototype was called Gruppe B! ;) Porsche ultimately decided not to enter it into WRC because it took a while for the 200 required homologation models to be built and they realized by then that the other teams had an advantage of a few years development.

It's believed by some that the 288 GTO (specifically the Evoluzione model) may have been intended for Group B. The fact that, apparently, the horsepower specs for the car dropped by around 200 horsies following Group B's cancellation is taken as a sign that they were intended to rally. To the best of my knowledge though Ferrari's never actually came out and said that it was intended for Group B rallying.

3. Not as impressive as the S4 , but still very good for its time.
I wonder why there's not the Thema 8.32 on this site.

4. i`l bet it could keep up with most new wrc cars!! its just kicks ass. nothing beats the good old italian design, or power! i got some more pics for you to..

5. id bet this would keep up with most new wrc cars. thers realy nothing better than the good old italian design and power!

6. I love it

7. I don't know much about this one, but it doesn't have the draw that the Stratos and Delta Integrale have to me.

8. I'm sure it goes fast, but I like a Dodge Viper GTS Coupe.

9. go screw your viper and take your ignorance out of here. lancia will always be one of the greatest rally companies ever. how much skill does it take to drive on pavement, compaired to rally driving?

10. This is a pretty cool car correct me if i'm wrong but wasn't there a street version without the big wing on the back?

11. I love the classic Lancia front end but the rear wing looks really ugly. Uh, gee, there aint much more to say about this car.

12. I love these cars, I really need to drive one someday!

13. I like it, has a good agressive look to it to give people a hint that this car isn't something you should mess with.

14. Considering it was more or less based on the Lancia Beta Montecarlo (Scorpion in the states)Yes, there is a version of it without the spoiler. I say more or less based as like the Lancia Delta Integral S4 was more or less based on the standard Delta. It shares the generally shape but that is about it. From what I know from people who raced against it over the years, it was a sweet car, very responsive and safe until you finally reached it's limits, then like all race cars, it would try and bite you and hard. I have been tempted over the years to find an old beat up montecarlo and turn it into a replica, I think having the plexi over the engine would be a really nice feature, sort of like the new 360 Modena.

Yes, for all Group B Rally cars there is a 200 car homologation requirement. That means that the company must make and sell at least 200 of the same cars as street-legal vehicles. That's why there were 250 1987 Porsche 959s. That's why you can buy an Audi Quattro Rally car for the road. However, I believe that the basic design did come from one of their previous cars that was in production at the same time.

16. One of my favourite cars. Beautiful Italian design and some kickass performance.

17. This car was powerfull but was only ever a stop gap till lancia produced the S4. It differed from the other group B cars in that it was RWD.

How Exactly were the 959 and the Ferrari 288GTO Group B cars. They didn't fit the regulations. I really can't see Enzo Ferrari saying, " lets take a car through the jungle and scrubs of the safari rally or the snows of the Swedish rally".

18. I don't think so , the WRCs are very efficent , very hi-tech used in them.

19. This has always been one of my favourite Group B's (along with the MG Metro 6R4 and the Ford RS200).

I saw one this weekend in Ireland on the Rally of the Lakes near Killarney.
There were 9 Group B cars running as demo drives at the start of the field (including 2 x RS200s, 2 x Audi Quattros, Porsche 911 and a few more).

My god it's a sweet sounding car

Smaller than I was expecting ... looks alot bigger in photos

Yes, there was a road version that preceeded this model.
It was called the Monte Carlo (Scorpion in thge US of A).
It wasn't much having 120-ish horsepower.
Then Lancia's racing division turned it into this legend.
The rules at the time stated that road versions had to be built for the racer to compete. But it has that big wing on the back.

23. Yes there was, the Lancia 037 Stradale. A great looking 240+hp car that is abosulutely great in looks, performance and handling.

24. Well this is my first time even hearing about this car. And after checking the car and the stats of it I'd say it's pretty average supercar. So it's medium in my opinion
