  2. True...russian cars are bad, but their large trucks are amazing cuz they somehow come out 1st all the time in the Dakar =P

    Anyhow, Korean cars do suck.

I also believe they are raising the legal driving age too in Canada =P

nice one, and as i always say, "You have to get used to the weather and not the other way round"

Guys, wheres your respect, you really get an idiot by saying cars are trash. Do something better! Engineers are working on cars, ENGINEERS, i agree some cars arent good and may even suck, but most cars are made solid enough. I never drove an american car cause im form germany, but those cars live for a centuy now and still work. Its not just about power as you might notice someday!
Damn you dont know what 200BHP is, why r u talking about 750BHP things? I think most of us arent "allowed" to talk about such things, not about any Sports Prototypes. Just people who own a 300+ BHP car are "allowed" to talk about 650+ BHP.

And, the Concept Italdesign Nazca C2 needs 3.7 to 60mph, some 800BHP cars need longer, so as you can see its that thier Power.<!-- Signature -->

yea so how do you explain my hydroplaning when going down the beltway in the pouring rain, surrounded by huge pickup trucks that are giving off huge vortexes of wind and water and going literally 80 mph? yea i think its the weather on my rice-weight car, genius. biggest reason ppl buy jap cars are for their reliability, seeing as my car is one of the most reliable cars ive ever owned. its been in the family its entire 13-year life, and its never had to go in for major servicing. and its got 150HP so i have no complaints. so explain that one.<!-- Signature -->

  7. Heheh..all cars are nice, but Kia needs the funding to do something wild.
Hyundai is coming with the new Tiburon and looks pretty damned nice too =)

You're so stupid. You just explained it yourself!

    1. You're driving a 13 year old, FWD Japanese car
    2. At 80 mph
    3. Down a freeway loaded with transport trucks
    4. In the pouring rain
    5. In a lightweight car
    6. And even though you know enough about aerodynamics to recognise that large vehicles produce wind vertices, you are not able to avoid them.

I don't think this is because of the bad weather, I think it's because you were not smart enough to adjust your speed and avoid the trucks. Bad driver.

  9. I had an 89 crown vic wagon up until a year and a half ago. Only failure was with the alternator, and only after like 115,000 miles. As it was my first car, I did beat the living shit out of it. I always kept up with servicing it though, and I never did anything like neutral drops. I'm not going to say what I used to do to it, but lets just say I should be dead. As for bad weather I used to enjoy it. Let loose in some parking lots n shit. It really taught me how to handle a car better than my friends who started out with fwd and traction control crap... 5,200 pounds and no posi from a 302 showed me real quick how to handle a car...

  10. Amercan's make cars through xerox machines, unlike europians that do RESEARCH, damn it RESEARCH!!! Amercans think that a better engine is when it's bigger, NO!!! If Huinday existed in 1920's they would definetly make better cars than any other who stamp "made in usa"

  11. i'd have to agree with wheelman there,i mean korean cars are just trash, thier looks,engines,everything....i just can't understand how people would spend their money on a piece of tin!!!as for american cars i think they are reliable but the depreciation value on some of them is horrible, except for the cadillacs, but this cien...looks amazing,& 700+hp are even more amazing...

  14. I dunno?
I think American Cars are great in Canada.
First, I've never seen any that really have had true trouble starting in our hellish winters. Unlike alot of Jap cars I've seen, and when they start, those engines are very rough...but congrats to Toyota, Nissan and Subaru for fixing that.

Also, I see more Jap cars involved in car accidents in the winter or heavy rain...could it be the car is too light and not stay in contact with road. And those cars are Accord, Camry, Corolla, Civic =P

I dunno..American cars are great in Canada =)
Also, if ya wreck one, very cheap to replace =P

And if y'all notice, there aren't many import Tow trucks out there are there =P

  15. First of all, there is a big difference between Japanese and Korean cars. The only cars that come out of Korea are Daewoo, Kia, and Hyundai. Thoses are all peices of shit. But Japanese cars, to their credit, are leauges away from that Korean crap.

The reason you see people hydroplaning their Civics, Camrys, Accords, and Corollas into ditches is beacause the only nitwits stupid enough to buy such a crappy car barely know how to drive anyways. As I always say, "There's no such thing as bad weather, only bad drivers."
When I was 16 I drove my Dads big ol' 1993 Ford Crown Victoria through a few of the worst Canadian winters I've ever seen, and I never had a problem.

That's the problem. I think that the legal driving age should be raised to 18, and that you need to know at least 5 times as much as you do now to get your license. All these freaks, yuppies, and old ladies out on the road are keeping the national speed limits down.

I also think that to sit here and say "All American cars are trash!" makes you the biggest idiot I know. I'm not even going to get in to how stupid you just made yourself sound.

But you did get one thing right, Korean cars are crap.....second only to Russian cars.

  16. i peronally hate this car... it is going to be slow. most of you guys dont remember that horsepower means topseed and TORQUE means acceleration.. and for a supercar this car has no torque many of you look over this and compare it directly to the new lamborghini.. however the lamborghini has just about the same amount of torque as horsepoewr where as the cien totaly sucks and has none<!-- Signature -->

  17. Ummmmm..you also forget that Lambos are usually quite heavy. You pay for Luxo and name brand..not really performance.
Also, Lambo costs a hell of a lot more.

And who said low torque sucks..Ever seen Ferraris? Their torque figures are usually 1/2 of the HP!!
Also, too muc torque is not a good thing!! Makes the wheels spin too much and the car jerky.

Oh..btw..get more info before you speak. My latest souces tell me that the 450lbs/ft kicks in @ 1800rpms!!

  18. No denying Korean cars suck. However, with time, they will be the next Japanese cars. (Japanese cars will probably still be better than Korean, though.) Remember that Japanese cars used to suck before the Japanese got the hang of it.

As for American cars, in general, they seem to be on the decline compared to other cars. If you're looking for a big van or truck, the U.S. is still ahead, because it is good at making big, simple, tough vehicles. It's not as good at making reliable, sophisticated, or high-end sporty vehicles, although it can make fast cars. (of course)

The best luxury cars in the world aren't American. (No Cadillac, you're definitely not the best.) The best SUV's in the world aren't American. (I'm talking Range Rover, Mercedes here.) The best sports cars in the world aren't American. (although the Corvette and the Viper are great, they lack the sophistication and handling of non-American sports cars. Give me a BMW, Ferrari, Porsche, or Lambo.) I rest my case.

Q: If American cars are so competitive, why does the U.S. put so many duties on foreign cars?
A: Because American cars aren't internationally competitive, so the government has to make foreign cars more expensive so that we have a harder time buying them and instead give our money to protected U.S. automakers.

  19. LOL!! well das true.
But US does have good GT cars...They whooped everyone @ LeMans.
The Vettes this year..the Vipers last year.

US also has the ultimate SUV!! HUMMER!!

You are a big idiot. If you want to know why, I'll explain it to you. Rght now I don't feel like writing down the dynamics of HP, torque, and weight unless I'm positive that you're going to read them, and then maybe you won't be such an idiot.

  21. Some may think korean cars suck and some may know it. But since I also own a kia Rio I have to stand up for it a little. True it has no power or displacement, 1.5 liters and has a hard time getting up to speed and up hills. The good aspect is It gets consistently 30+ miles to the gallon and I have had no problems with it whatsoever so far. And it came with a 10 year warranty. Have to also mention its cheap transportation, you can get one for 6-13 grand brand new. It beats driving my gas hog everywhere when gas reaches $2 per gallon again.
The kia's could definetly use a turbo or a more refined engine. They come with a good and a bad just like everything else out there.

  22. no!

i dont think that Viper, Corvette, Ford (GT90,40) are trash..<!-- Signature -->

  24. to: EANDE I never said vipers and vettes were trash they have a good and a bad just like everything else. Fortunetly the good outweigh the bad in these cars. Viper=bad gas mileage (so what!) if you can afford one you can afford the gas. The Vette well it has no trunk, not good when traveling with a passenger to a far off land. But I think they are bad ass cars anyway and would like to own either one.
