  5. Right now I'm dropping a 460 hp 383 stroker engine into my 82' Vette. The engine will have multiport fuel injection via Lingenfelter's Super Ram Induction system with 40 lb. injectors. Accel's Calmap 7.0 software will run the car. Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum heads, an Accel hydraulic roller mild lift camshaft, a computer controlled HEI distributor and a cold air system with a K&N filter will complete the engine. A 4L60 automatic tranny (I think that's the designation) will replace the 700R4 because the shifts can be computer controlled on the 4L60 (other than that basically same trasnmission). A rack and pinion steering system will replace the stock steer. The exhaust will be reworked with 1 3/4" headers and the pipes will be routed separately through high flow CATS and mufflers. A new paint job and some new interior parts will then complete the car.

Eventual improvements might include 16 in. wheels and 1" wider rear tires to improve traction along with bigger rotors and calipers. I'm also building a speaker box to house two 10" speakers and two 6x9's powered by a 300-400 watt amp. I think I can get all this done by December of 02'. Need some advice from anyone familiar with this car as to how to get cold air to the throttle body. It's a tuned port style injection system. Don't know where the HP or 1/4 mile time will be when I'm done. Also changing the rear gear and putting a higher stall converter in (don't know how high and maybe a 3.42 or smaller gear).

  6. hey bro bad news at 5:00pm i took my baby out for a drive and i found a stretch of road that nowon goes and i put my car to its limits but i blew my tranny but no worrys i got a chance to get a tremec t56 tranny but hey atleast it'll put up with the power now. <IMG SRC="http://www.supercars.net/servlets/cMsg/html/emoticons/smile.gif"><!-- Signature -->

  7. That sucks that you blew your tranny, but if it's a stock tranny, it would have blown eventually. T56 would be perfect for you car's power range.
I think that 10 grand 382 is a whole engine. I put a larger crank on my engine for the displacement increase. FIREHAWK went to a performance parts store and got his engine customized to a 382. It saved loads of money compared to buying the engine.
Good luck w/ getting nitrous hooked up.

That's pretty cool to know that there are others that like giving their street car extreme performance. Alot of people got carried away w/ the 4-6 cyl vehicles. Too many people are too blind to see the value of a roaring big block, or a monsterous small block, the comfortable feeling power to kick ass on or off the track. Camaros and firebirds haven't sold too much throughout these years because of rice burners coming to america in great ass loads. Now, you see those little compact ricers flooding the streets like vermin. Makes people like us sick.

  8. thats right 94 formula yesterday i went to my nearst perfomance shop with my bros z28 and i ordered a tremec t56 tranny no matter the cost. i heard this guy by where i live has a low 10 second mustang 93 lx 5.0 and wants to take a shot at me so i will be ready for him this summer. and i'll also put some more bolt-ons but i guess i can also do the 382 upgrade like the way you did your upgrade. cause i plan to run in the mid to low 9's.<!-- Signature -->

  20. I own a 1995 Camaro Z28, I bought it NEW as a project car. The previous owner had totalled it, within the 2 months that she owned it. So I got a killer deal on it. I purchased it when I was 16. It was 2,500 (EVERYTHING ON IT WAS DESTROYED EXCEPT THE ENGINE). My father owns a Paint and Body Shop, so it was kept there as it was getting restored piece by piece. And since my father owned the place, I was employed at a the age of 14, slowly saving my money. So as my dad was fixing the body on it and I was buying performance parts with the money that I had saved so I put them on and by the time I was 17 it was driveable, Not all the performance parts were on it yet. I worked my ass off for all the money I put into it. The day of my 18th birthday it was complete performance parts and all. But as my everyday driver till I finished that was an 86 Camaro Z28. But then I sold it when i finished my ZR-28 here is the full list of Mods I have on it:
