  1. F40 Hamann vs Mc Laren F1

If F40 standard obtains these performances, with 140hp more it can approximately obtaining: (weight 1100kg/+620hp!!!!)
    Top Speed 345km/h
    0-100km/h 3"8
    0-200km/h 9"5
    1km standing start 19"5
    Same performances of McLaren F1
    But F40LM whit 780hp-1000kg???????????????????is terrific!!!!

For example, look this street F40 with 720hp.

    <A HREF="http://www.ferrariturbo.com/index.html?ref= http://www.ferrariturbo.com/Info/f40hartmann.html" TARGET="_new">http://www.ferrariturbo.com/index.html?ref= <A HREF="http://www.ferrariturbo.com/Info/f40hartmann.html</A>" TARGET="_new">http://www.ferrariturbo.com/Info/f40hartmann.html</A></A> <!-- Signature -->

  3. The LM beats that...<!-- Signature -->

  4. Why is it that everyone wants to compare a tuned supercar a car to the McLaren F1, common, take a brake. Don't you people get tired of it?

The McLaren is unique, very-very-very-fast, has awesome looks, and is a icon of the 90's. That's a fact. Where does the Hamann F40 stand in the history of supercars? Just one more superfast-tuned-supercar that had to be heavily tuned to improove its performance.

Why don't you compare the F40 Hamann/Hartmann to the Koenig F50? They're both Ferraris, they're both turbo, and they're both heavily tuned. Why?

  5. The Mclaren wins from the F40 Hamann
The Mclaren has far better performance !!!!!!!
And like the Mclaren much more !!!!<!-- Signature -->

  6. What kind of a question is that? The McLaren definitely has better performance, and it definitely has better looks. The F40 looks very, very ugly (thank goodness for the F50).

By the way, what is the Ferrari F60? How come it's not listed on this Website?

  7. F40 IS SMART KOENIG F50 IS EVEN BETTER AND WOULD PAN ANYTHING
WITH 8 SECONDS QUARTER MILE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. The McLaren wins !

  9. Its not possible 1/4 mile in 8 sec! you idiot start thinking!! damn

  10. omg, no competition. . .

    McLaren 4 life baby

  11. Mclaren is nothing special and it is just too damn expensive. For 1,000,000 dollars I'd hope it would outperform atleast most cars out there. If they left the F40 stock on the outside and put the engine and suspension from the Hamann F40 I would like this car more

  12. I absolutely love Ferrari's. Italian cars are beautiful, powerful machines, but even I will admit the McLaren F1 over this F40 for sure.

  13. The F40 LM Spec are far better 0-60 in 2.9 and top speed 379 kph+

    Lexuxgod:

The F60 never existed. For it to exist, we would have to wait another 4 years, since the 40 and 50 in F40 and F50 respectively stand for the factory's 40th/50th anniversary. I doubt F60 will ever exist, since Ferrari just built the Enzo, in honour to their founder. A 650 HP all carbon fibre beast with the first ever road-going set of carbon breaks (used in F1 and MUCH better than any of the common breaks we use, they have to be REALLY hot to work, though).

    For Speedfreek and you:

If you are really don't know what we are talking about, why are you talking? Are not both street legal cars close to GT1 specifications?
The Hamann F40 did 1.08.3 during some test sessions at Hockenheim race track. The F1 road car IS much slower.
A boosted F40 with GTE spec has a big vantage of torque, thrust, cornering and downforce compare the F1. Where is the F1 advantage? LOL. Why don't you guys come back to talk about comics, please?

    Hamann F40 Hockenheim lap, 1.08.328

The Mclaren F1 lap time target is around 1.11.

  16. Why during the 1995-1996 BPR championships, regulations allowed to race high boosted 620-650bhp F40s in GTE specification compared the low tune 636bhp F1 in GTR specification?
    Tell us why?
Evidently you don't think about the same spec for GT1 category? are not both street legal cars close to GT1 category?
So why we cannot compare a road going 620bhp F40 with the 627bhp F1 IF WORLDWIDE GT CHAMPIONSHIPS allowed mating them on track? Well, Hamann build this kit for F40's owners to allowed road going GTE specifications the same as the used for track compared the F1 racing cars.

Here some examples of F40 vs F1 qualifing lap times during 1995 BPR championship:
    MONZA 4 HOURS
1st 60 Anders Olofsson / Luciano Della Noce Ferrari F40 GTE Ferrari Club Italia 1:44.348 200.100

6th 61 Massimo Monti / Gary Ayles / Fabio Mancini Ferrari F40 GTE Ferrari Club Italia 1:33.644
    NURBURGRING 4 HOURS
1st 60 Anders Olofsson / Luciano Della Noce Ferrari F40 GTE Ferrari Club Italia 1:39.490 164.856
2nd 40 Michel Ferté / Olivier Thévenin Ferrari F40 LM Pilot Aldix Racing 1:40.610 163.021

5th 61 Fabio Mancini / Massimo Monti / Gary Ayles Ferrari F40 GTE Ferrari Club Italia 1:41.430 161.703

So why we cannot compare a road going F40 GTE spec like the Hamann was vs the road car F1?

1.08.328 for the Hamann means to be almost as fast as the Maserati MC12 Corsa at Hockenheim short track, so SHUT UP those who are not what we are talking. Awesome result for 90's street legal car.

How did you estimate F1's hockenheim laptime,it seems way off plus F1 hasn't lapped that track. On the track where F1(Bedford Autodrome) lapped it was 4s faster than F40 and faster than Enzo.I don't think that even Harmann F40 will beat Enzo.
    http://www.zeperfs.com/en/classement-ci42.htm
    Mclaren F1 1:21.2
    Ferrari Enzo 1:21.3
    Ferrari F40 1:25.5
    Koenigsegg CCX 1:22.3 http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=71&t=347201&i=40

In nurburgring F1 has done 7:23.5 according to wikipedia which is faster than MP4-12c so I don't think hockenheim laptime will be slower than MP4-12c(1:08.7) or CCR(1:09.8)(since it was faster than CCX around tracks).I think it will do along the lines of 1:07-1:09's

Your considerations were uncorrected. The F1 tested in Bedford was not a stock F1, the blue car was modified with special exhaust, a special alignment and equipped with 18" wheels and tires. This does explain why the car was very fast that day. The exhaust was similar to LM equipped and explain a gain of power and torque. Wheels size and heights of the center of gravity were easly visible on Evo's pages. Only a naive can believe a stock F1 was fast like that.

http://cdn1.evo.co.uk/sites/evo/files/images/dir_422/car_photo_211245.jpg Look at the alignment of that blue F1!!!

The data you have on wikipedia for the Nring lap times to me was unreal because my reference was a more realistic 7.45 for the F1, data comes for a very famous McLaren book. This could be much more realistic, mostly because the F1 stock alignment is very soft on the corners and the bumps of the Nring and dinamically it was always worse compared to the new McLarens. The car was short of downforce also, for that result. I don't believe that lap time on the Nring for that car.

If you don't believe a Hamann F40 can beat the Enzo is just your problem. I know about the modifications on the Hamann car and they are so vaste to improve many seconds per lap. The car was very close to a GTE specification concerning alignment, brakes, engine and downforce. A overall improvment. Take your conclusions.

    What does that means?

I think that people need to wash their teeths before to talk. Take the blue Mclaren as reference is just to misunderstand the value of the lap time list.
When the Evo published the article pictures were really well visible on the pages and the configuration of that blue F1 too.
I like when people think to be only one clever, being the firsts unable to see what they have in front of their eyes.
