How the hell you gonna compare the corvette agasint the rx-7!!!the corvette is nice but the rx-7 has better styling and better weight than the corvette has. covettes are a piece of shit. the way to go is rx-7s
thats great viper king, corvettes are pieces of shit huh? you sound incredibly intellignent. lower weight is a big deal but the vette has more than enough power to make up the difference. I personally think that the vette has better styling and that the vette is what people should be getting into.
Now, now Bigrob. Now I gotta disagree with you. But styling has little to no bearing on how the car performs. You like your Vettes, I like my Rexs. Though I wouldn't turn down either car if offered. Personally, I would love to own one of each! Good powerful american muscle, and gorgeous different Japanese rotorieness! (Yeah, I made that word up!) Both are great cars, both look really nice, both go really fast, and both can be made to go even faster! What more could you ask for! But I do have a problem with this guy calling the Vette "crappy" - The rotary engine is extreemly efficient this is true. It does make more hp/L than a Vette but there are many shortcomings of the Rotory, it requires a rebuild after only 80K miles and it has a serious peoblem with blowing the stock seals. The Vette is a very reliable car and does make approx. 150 hp more than the RX7, this 150 hp tends to make up for the weight difference. I'm not a Chevy guy but I had to defend the Vette's honor in this case!
Build a 5.7 lire rotary and it will blow up in your face. HP/Litre does not matter. Its not a fair comparo unless you are talking same priced cars with the same size blocks.<!-- Signature -->
Sparetire has a point and i love imports and everything about them but i would gladly sell my import (with a few exceptions) for a new z06vette i mean i love curves imports are about style and from my point of view the corvette is as stylish and classy as any import out there but if you gave me the option of NSX or Skyline vs Vette i would take them just over the scarcity but the vette is a pleasure to drive and definately not crap and anyone who truly loves cars would never say that no matter whos side they are on!
its just how it looks in these pictures... or is the corvette a copy of rx7? remember the first RX7 came out in 1978, looking nothing like a vette at the time except some resemblence to a porsche 924
