  5. How could this Tonka NOT beat a HD???? Come on, HDs got nothing on this truck. The air suspension is a kick ass idea, its so much better than riding with regular old shocks. Even if they do give out over time, (which is highly doubtful)I wouldnt mind, cause the ride with a load is 10X's better than a HD could get. This truck would outsell the HD, I only beg that it be put into production. <!-- Signature -->
     
  6. Gm is gonna wreck fords new diesel

    if you think fords new diesel is gonna beat the duramax then you are obviously dumb. its just to bad ford needs to use a hydraulic pump motor connected to their drive shaft to get that much power. give the duramax a few years then they will probably be at about 400hp and 700 ft lb of torque. even if fords new diesel can beat the duramax i'd like see it try against the 496(8.1) big block that chevy has produced they are said to beat the duramax themselves.<!-- Signature -->

Chev got rid of the camaro because it just cant compete with the vette and the viper. the mustang is just a joke. this truck is a monster and even though it has these huge numbers what u think the price tag will be like. the fully loaded F 350 is $57,695 (CD). i still think this truck wont b as popular for heavy duty work because its just too nice to scratch. If I had a dollar for every ford product(including Land Rover) I had to pull out of slush offroading I'd be a f'n millionaire....My Avalanche will beat the crap out of this thing if ford can scrounge up the money to put it into production...Oh and by the way Chevys 8.1 liter engine puts out alot more horses and torque than this big piece of crap!

  21. not very keen on the spelling front are you german? where the hell are you getting that a fully loaded f350 is 57,000? even if i decided to put another powerstroke in the bed and get a dually it wouldnt be near that number. and you have to pull morons out of the slush because they dont realize how damn heavy a diesel is and they think its a good idea to go muddin in an 8500lb truck. maybe if you took some of the plastic off that avalanche you coulda saved some money. those arent the cheapest things around either, bare bones at 31,185$ as by gm's website and 40,041 with everything. bare f350 crew cab at 29,195 on fords site and 42,435 for a srl powerstroke and 37,910 with a v-10. i tried like hell and couldnt get to 57,000$ just over 47,000 was the highest. <!-- Signature -->

Ford has to introduce their model first... no competition... chevy waits and sees where they can improve and beat ford. Ford is opening doors, chevy is the lady that steps in after the territory has been occupied.
    As for the engine, Ford will be dropping the power stroke diesel by 2006, when they will release cummings' engines. Ford bought out cummings. Those are engines to be reckoned with... they have it right... a 6 cylinder has way more torque than an 8.... 6's are better
     
  23. Also, to add to the more-so reliable truck? I worked on a farm for years, and during that time, i worked with a '92 powerstroke diesel Ford F-350 as well as a '94 Dodge turbo cummings'. The cummings engines are much more reliabe, better on gas, have more torque, and better standard travel. As for chevy? My boss wouldn't touch one. Useless tin cans, he said.
    I took a look at this new avalance.. My first impression was it was a toy. Goddam! A truck is made out of metal. $50 says it'll fall apart within a few years. Fucking plastic us pathetic. It's not made for of-road. If anyone has some sense in this forum, they'll agree with me that you need metal to have a durable truck. My little GMC Jimmy, a 2.8l is fully plated with METAL, and it's taken a shit kicking, and still rocking.
     
  24. corrola racer this truck isn't in production even and it isn't coming out, so don't compare it to the hd series and hell if you put 300 hp in a civic where would it go?
