  1. Love this car, looks a bit like a F1 car

The nose and that little thingy in the grille, looks like a Mercedes F1 car like that... looks really cool I think love the car

but probably when it will hit production it would be way to expensive<!-- Signature -->

  2. i actually believe that this car was made by Mercedez in a joint project with Mclarren, i'm not positive, but i think so, that is why it has that F1 look to it, amazing though!!

  3. I doubt Mclaren had anything to do with this.

I do think they started to realize their designers can make the coolest cars ever imagined.

This is on my top 10 list for sure.<!-- Signature -->

Actually, it was jointly developed with McLaren Cars ( http://www.mclarencars.com).

I love it, can't wait to see weather they bring it in to production.

  5. I'm not seeing the Formula 1 or the Mclaren F1 in the car.

  6. I think McLarens influence in this car is obvious.
And I hope they take it into production whitout changing too much cause it's SWEET!

  7. Hey all of ya out their u will be really disappointed to know dat this car is a really fast but its an auto gear, shift somefin u wont look for in a fast car.And its not available to all people. All the cars dats have or r goin to be produced have already been bought by people.<!-- Signature -->

  8. The engine was designed by McLaren.

  9. The engine? Interesting, McLaren havn't done anything with engines since the Can-Am days when they bought chevy blocks and built them up.

No, the designing and aerodynamics was McLaren done. All the technical stuff. Mercedes did the engine.

  10. I stand corrected <IMG SRC="http://www.supercarforums.com/servlets/cMsg/html/emoticons/smile.gif">

I love this car. But it has a 6-Speed-manual at http://www.supersportwagen.net/ maybe a mistake here. Why should McLaren build the engine for this car? Mercedes can build better engines. McLaren even does not build their own engines for their own cars. Guys, sorry, but McLaren is not anymore the High End King Car. McLaren was able to build their car, cause they got help from Mercedes and BMW, alone, they wouldn't have nearly built, what they have now. Back to the SLR, great design (no McLaren design, give it up guys). This design is typically Mercedes. Great. They've showed one time more, that they are one of the best, maybe the best.<!-- Signature -->

  12. hi guys,
really i'm wondering how can u see, only see, this car !!! i can't, my heart hurt me when i even think about it !! i know i can't own it, even its tire !!!
anyway, i'm sure it was designed by a man who doesn't live in our planet, it's an amazing car.
what a great feeling when u drive it next to the beach, and EVERYONE is looking at u, WAW !!!!!!!!!!
i can't talk about this car more it talks about itself, there is one thing i can say: it's the GREATEST EVER CAR !!!

  13. CARTOONS SUCK

  14. spock mclaren didn't even design the engine in the F1 BMW did, and Mclaren and mercedes are one just like jaguar is a part of ford, so I'm certain that mclaren being a part of the mercedes corporation had a part in designing the car like all the rest of their cars......... and the only resemblence to the mclaren F1 is the doors, and if your talking about formula 1 then your smoking crack...<!-- Signature -->

  15. cool car but unfortunately to compete against the far superior team of the Vanquish, and Marenello.

  16. I've heard they would sell it for $100,000 ... 10 times cheaper than the CLK-GTR which in my opinion is justified...<!-- Signature -->

  19. i believe this car was designed based on f1 cars.
u can see it on the nose.looks like the f1's.<!-- Signature -->

what?...........the name of this car has McLaren in the title(not on this website!)
errrrrrrrrr McLaren help design the car, and I think Mercedes would seek the help of the famous McLaren when making a supercar because after they are the kings.
And finally.....this car will be built in Woking, England at the McLaren factory......what more proof do u want?<!-- Signature -->

  21. It's derived from an F1-car.It's due in 2003. The production is limited. It will set you back about 350K.Maybe a good investment, this car would probably be classic you could sell for twice as much in some years, if it's still in mint condition. No point hesitating, push-start the old Dodge and head for the nearest Benz outlet and pay the 10K you need to order one. <!-- Signature -->

If you look at the power bulge in the bonnet and follow it down over the nose into the 2 braces for the front splitter there is a hint of Formula one there, as for the Mclaren Influence I think they Assisted in the styling and engineering but their influence was mainly from their Formula One cars as opposed to the McLaren F1 supercar<!-- Signature -->

  23. Actually mclaren is owned by mercedes. Plus the both both the branches joined to produce this car. My moms bos has this car.In gold, it is absolutely jaw dropping. I love beamers but no beamer is as good looking and well made as this car. <!-- Signature -->
