The M5 isnt a sportscar, its a sports saloon. Also from most figures I've seen the M5 is slightly quicker.

About the V8 engine. Well the M3 sounds fine, but compared to the NASCAR growl of the M5 its nothing.

The M3 is clearly faster. I saw someone say that it had 355hp, that guy has no clue what he's talking about. Its 333hp in North America and 343hp in Europe.

The fastest i've seen for the M3 is 4.9 secs to 60 and the M5 is 4.6.<!-- Signature -->

The M3 CSL has +/-355bhp and 19inch wheels and special Michelin Pilot Sport tyres also huge brake discs.

i'd go for the M5.i mean the M3 is gr8 but for a ride with your friends,you need a saloon car to feel comfortable.
and this is the best saloon car ever+power.

Acceleration isn't everything. Not to mention the fastest I've ever seen for the M5 is 4.8 and for the M3 4.625. On the track the M3 is just that much lighter.

hard to pick, i'd chose a M5 cause it's got 4 doors and it's more usefull in daily use. i'd pick a M3 cause it's sporty and it can be a great weekend car. heck i'd say it's almost equal both ways
