"Whilst Ferrari has been the most successful team with 141 wins to date, it has been racing for 16 years more than McLaren, has been in 127 more Grands Prix and has only achieved eight more grand prix wins."

I'm sure McLaren will slowly catch Ferrari, but not anytime soon unless McLaren has a trump card to counter Schumacher. And even then there's no telling what Ferrari will have to come back. You can't just say who's gonna make it and who isn't, you just have to wait an see.

  2. I think is alittle soon to talk..but go and see...mclaren has destroyed all schumachers records in barcelona =)

  3. I like em both, i think Ferrari will win though

  4. Kimi kimi kimi....

  5. Schumacher isn't invincible but he is the best and can prove that with his record breaking 51 career GP wins.

Mika isn't retireing, he is having a year off, he still has a contract with Maclaren and can replace Kimi if the team wishes (they would be stupid if they did) also Kimi only has a contract for one year with Maclaren.
Ferrari not winning, you obviously don't follow Formula 1, they have 3 constructors championships and 2 drivers championships in a row so far. I don't think Toyota will do too well in there first year, look how well BAR did in there first year and look how well they are doing at the moment.

  7. Ferrari + MS is always a formidable combo, although I have high hopes for McLAren this year. We can only tell when the season begins. McLaren are more than capable of beating Ferrari. If you think about it most times MS was gifted a race because of McLaren cock ups with thier car.

  8. ferrari will win as long as they have shumacher he is the only reason why ferrari when schumacher retires his brother will probably take over

All teams have their ups and downs - Ferrari wasnŽt in itŽs sharpest form for almost 20 years, until they hired Ross Brawn followed with Rory Byrne and started playing one-man-team tactics with Schumacher in 1996.

Ferrari has now only one direction - downhill. Does it come sooner or later remains to be seen. I hope it wonŽt come along with that the same disgusting tactics Ferrari has employed since Schumacher, will be applied amongst other teams as well (points are piled to no:1 driver from the season start).

Uh, didnt Barichello get like 3rd in the drivers championship? I think it was Schuey, Mika, and Rubens...

  10. Driver championship order for 2001 was Schumacher, Coulthard and Barrichello. WhatŽs your point? As Ferrari is currently the best team, they have only one direction and thatŽs down. ThatŽs the flip side for being on the top.

ThatŽs the only flip side for being on the top. And the team tactics of Ferrari (and formerly BenettonŽs) cannot be described with the word "sportsmanship"...

  12. bmwm5power, i doubt that Ralph Schumacher will take over as Ferrari's main man after Michael retires. Ralph already has his own team and i don't see why he would switch to Ferrari on account of his brother racing there. Ralph is doing good and will continue to improve but for now, Michael will continue to dominate. When Michael's time is done, he will be replaced but i doubt it will be Ralph Shumacher.

  13. I thinks its gonna be pretty good this year. McLaren may have lost Hakkinen, but they still have Coulthard and they picked up Raikkonen too, and he is damn fast, was doing really well with Sauber last year. Besides, after last year Mclaren needs some wins. Course, I'm sure Ferrari isn't gonan sit back, they have a title to defend and achance at making it 3 in a row. Schumi is an amazing driver, and Baricello is really good to, probably one of the most consistant drivers in F1. Don't want to forget about William's either though, Ralf was driving really good last year, although it may have been too little too late, and Montoya should be a little more used to F1 this time around.

    Should be a good season.

  14. I already told you bastards who is gonna win! It's, say it with me now, "FERRARI". Good now that we know you Assholes can read and talk, just try doing one more thing okay. Taking you heads out of your butts if you still think Mclaren-Mercedes, Toyota, Jaguar, or BMW will win the F1 season. And of course the only direction Ferrari can go is down. It's because they are on top, it's just how much longer they can stay that way. And I'm guessing it's however long Schumacher decides to drive (for Ferrari) and Ferrari decides to make cars. So, just give into the Red Side.

  15. You got too much attitude buddy.

  16. tercelssuck, you DO have attitude and need to calm down. Anyways... Ferrari's will continue to dominate McLaren i believe. McLaren of course, is a serious competitor and an awesome company, no doubt about that. However, Ferrari has an extremely rich history and with history, comes experience. This will benefit Ferrari more in the long run than it does McLaren and later down the road, after Shumacher has long retired, those close races between McLaren and Ferrari will all come down to one thing: Experience, something which Ferrari has an edge and for that reason, i believe that McLaren will never be able to catch up with a true legend. Don't get me wrong though, they're still a great team. You can help form a legend or become one yourself, but you can never destroy it.

  17. The difference between one F1 car and another is very small, although I think the MP4-16 is a piece of shit and I am a Mclaren-Mercedes fan.

What determines who wins most of all is the driver and secondly the experiences a team gets, McLaren-Mercedes haven't been around very long and they, as a team, come very close Ferrari.
Within time McLaren-Mercedes will grow in experience and hopefully get some better drivers, not that their current drivers are bad but they don’t measure up to Schumacher.
Considering the history of these two teams in F1, McLaren-Mercedes have done well for themselves and will continue to do well in the future; I believe McLaren-Mercedes will have the upper hand when Schumacher retires and also have a great season this year.

  18. All i can say is that without MS there is no Ferrari. Ferrari should enjoy the highs right now because as soon as MS is gone all u Ferrari fans will go back into hiding. Ferrari will be around for a few more years and then see ya. Williams and McLaren are the best teams in the past 20 years.

I will say it again Ferrari is nothing without MS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  19. Okay, I do have an attitude and it aint goin away, but your moms also have big asses so deal with it, life just sucks that way! And for one in all seriousness, I am a Ferrari Fan and will never go into hiding even when MS retires. Do any of you even know anything about MS's backup, he is really good. And after MS is gone, guess who's gonna follow up in his foot steps? It will be his backup, who MS taught to drive. A team I would love seeing win if Ferrari doesn't is the Irish team, I can't remember their name. I am an underdog fan also, I guess that's why I am also a Denver Bronco fan.

    FERRARI FOR LIFE

  20. mclaren might be in trouble,w/out hakkinen (i can't spell finish names) and williams as strong as ever they are in trouble. M.shumacher (and i can't spell german names lol) is the best driver of our time and might be one of the best ever. Ferrari is not in trouble my friend, mclaren is.

  21. Lotus dude I don't think replacing Raikkonen with Hakkinen would be a bad idea, many people say he is a rival to Schumacher.

or Ron dennis could wake up and finally realize that coulthard isnt that great of a driver and bumps him down to a test driver. Then put hakkinen and raikkonen together for 1 season. There will be a lot of motivation there
