Wow mobydick for someone so interested in racing and respectful towards Lotus you seem to forget to mention that Lamborghini built Lotus engines for competition. The Ferarris have won at Daytona that is why the 365 GTB/4 is called the Daytona. And they only have 9 Lemans wins because they stopped competing there due to financial trouble opting instead to focus their attentions to Formula 1. Which they are winning again. And Lamborghinis are Italian, being financially backed by another countries company doesnÂt make the car lose is ethnicity. The factory in SantÂAgata, Bologna still stands. And it is in Italy. But in a way you are right. We should wait until the Carrera GT is released and tested to compare. But it has big shoes to fill considering the Murcielago has already done so well in setting 3 international speed records.

Blah blah blah I'm not even goin to bother reading this thread. I know what bs to expect. 1 or 2 guys holding Porsche's pride up while all the lambo lovers/porsche haters spew a bunch of crap with wrong facts and who have been misinformed saying how Porsche sucks. (no offence to the lambo cars themeselves) (the last bracketed message was written for the stupid people that would start a whole other arguement about how I'm stupid for bashing lambos even thogh I didn't and the truth is they can't stand ANY criticizm and can't tell what is and isn't criticizm) (BUT, I do love Lambos) Someone reply to this truthfully by telling me if I'm right or wrong. And if I'm right, then those of you who are desperatly trying to find anything good to say about your car or bad to say about the other car are WRONG. With that I'm trying to end this probably very stupid thread that people will start reading from about the middle (which is where the thread totally goes off topic) and reply with more car bashing. Thank You

Hey dumbass...do u think a crumby 22 horsepower will matter if the lambo is an extra freaking 882 lbs. overweight. read the other replys (TylerDruden's will make you piss your pants). less weight equals faster acceleration. Plus, it is made to take corners at speeds that would make your lambo skid off the track and go to where it belongs, the scrapyard. the 4.0 second estimated accelaration rate is not accurate. I have seen a 911 gt2 clock in at 3.6 seconds (Road at Track test), and it is heavier and less powerfull than the carrera gt. if you have anything for a brain, you will realize that the carrera gt will clock in at 3.3 if not better. with its cornering, advanced braking, and nasty acceleration it will make your fighting bull look like a cow! I am stopping myself before i write profanity about you conceded lamborgini freaks. you guys ought to learn something about cars! Murcielago is just a pretty face when compared to the Carrera GT. Damn, the Murcielago doesn't even look like a nice face, it looks like one dumb, and pouting *****. Murcielago means, "Bat". nice name, hmmm? you are willing to fork over a couple hundered thousand for something that is named a bat? that is ridiculous. i have so much more respect for the diablo than this "bat", and neither of them would win against a porsche Carrera GT. Carrera means "race" and it is a race that will leave either a diablo or a murcielaogo (bat, hahaha. what a joke) in the dust.

Wow youre not smart are you? First off the Lamborghini has been tested by--guess who--Lamborghini. They set the test speed at 3.6 not 3.8 and it has AWD unlike the Porsches tiny V6 engines with RWD. And whats with the Porshe GT2 3.6? It isnt that fast buddy. Besides you got so many problems going that fast with RWD. Wow youre a dumbshit arent you? You do know that Murcielago does mean bat but thats not what its named after. They are named after Spanish bulls. The bull was named Murcielago. The Murcielago has wings that slip out of the sides like the spoiler on the 911 for traction and aerodinamics. I dont think that a name is very important compaired to what it can do. You must have never seen a Murcielago if you think that it looks ugly. And the Murcielago was tested and hit top speeds of over 220mph. The GT will slide off the road before it hits 60 in 3.3 The GT2 looks better anyways.

220mph? *laughing like shit* Yeah and a Volkswagen Beetle does 210mph. I think the lamborghini is faster but both cars are sweet though. 0-60 i think the lambo would actually win
Tsk, Tsk, Tsk. Lambo lovers should not be insulting Porsche lovers. Likewise for Porsche lovers. Both make some of the greatest cars ever built. Admittingly the Diablo is a God like car. However Porsche has yet been given the chance to prove itself with the Carrera GT. It will be different once it is on the road. I'm going to cut/paste my post from other forums.... Lamborghini Diablo or Porsche Carrera GT On one hand there is the ledgendary Diablo and the other an unknown predator. Personally I would still get the Porsche. Reason being? Well everyone knows what the Diablo is Capable of. But everyone is yet to see the potential of Porsches years of experience and the ability of german engeneering. Not sure if performance wise it could improve much more on the excellent 996tt i.e on the track, but sure as hell - I would have fun trying. Thats the way I feel about this car BTW for those poor misguided fools who believe Porsche should not be in the same sentence as Lamborghini and vica versa. Slip back behind the wheel of your comforting trashcan you call your ride; as any 2 respectable Porsche or Lamborghini owners would understand, they are both remarkable cars. Respect is one thing they would both share.
i would take the murcielago because i am a lambo fan and like the lambos looks better but that doesnt at all mean i wouldnt take the carreraget in a second. both cars are awesome but anyone who says one is better than the other doesnt know what they are talking about because like the guy before me said nobody knows what the gt can do. so why doesnt everyone stop talkin crap about these two awesome cars that none of you will ever be able to dream of getting. until you drive both cars you really dont know which one is better because everyone wants something different in a car. I love Jennifer!!!!!!!!!!!
The Carrera is a real GREAT Supercar...its price tag shows that. but the Murcie would definitly give it a run for its money. i don't think the Porsche could match the McLaren in Acceleration, i'm guessing it would be 0-100 in 3.5 sec ?? but depending if the porsche will be acceleration or top speed oriented... i'm a BULLRIDER, but the Carrera GT will be better, hell for twice the price if it isn't then, there's a problem
I think the Murcielago has the slightest advantage because it's much more aerodynamic then the Porsche even though it weighs more the aerodynamicness makes a difference. and besides "I DRIVE A LAMBORGHINI" sounds BETTER then "I DRIVE A PORSCHE"
