  3. Hmmm..what does the Matrix have to do with Pontiac? Ever seen a Vibe..well guess what...that 1.8L engine in it is from Toyota...so is the platform =P It's a Corolla =P

    And yeah..heard boout the GTO..and who gives a damn if it's 2 or 4 doors =P
    Look @ the M5 =P
    4 door super sedan =P

  4. Pontiac's got a few choices, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

Pontiac can bring back the Firebird or GTO. If it did come back, it would probably be a car sharing underpinnings with the Camaro.

Chevy on the other hand, can either bring back the Camaro, or turn their heads to the Monte Carlo as the new muscle car. If that happens, its a safe bet that the Firebird or GTO will share underpinnings with the Monte Carlo.

GM's also pretty much confirmed that the Holden Monaro will be imported into the states. Its a pretty easy thing to do, since the engine the Monaro uses is just about all American, but the fuel tank would have to be repositioned to be able to hit the market in the US. If its imported, there is a strong possibility that the Monaro will indeed wear Pontiac badges, as either the GTO, or even by holding onto the Monaro name.<!-- Signature -->

  5. ever hear of the firebird?<!-- Signature -->

  6. did you see the guy that was trying to describe the Matrix??? that explains it all....<!-- Signature -->

  7. it would be soo cool if buick shared the platform too and made a grand national with a turbo charged i-5 like the one in the bel air concept!! oh that would be amazing!! ^,^ <!-- Signature -->

  8. Does anyone really want to seem GM bring the GTO back? Who knows how badly they could disgrace the name?

If there is one thing I'd like to see, it is a 70 Judge with a modern interior and handling capabilities. A limited run of those would sellout before rolling off the production line.

  9. Pontiac needs a Muscle car bad

They can't really rely on the Vibe, Sunfire, and Grand Am. And what the phuck is w/ this Matrix and Vibe crap? In those Matrix commercials, the guy can't describe it?? IT'S A PHUCKING 5-DOOR HATCHBACK !!! THE PEOPLE WHO MADE THOSE COMMERCIALS SHOULD BE TORTURED FOR INSULTING EVERYONE'S INTELLIGENCE !! And bring back the Camaro and Firebird as quickly as possible ! I hate having the Mustang as the only Muscle car left ! (Viper and Corvette don't count since they are sportscars) Bring back the Dodge Charger, too !

  10. from what i have heard from inside. . they are tempted to put the gto badge on a holden comedore. . . plans to bring it to america are not yet set in stone, but that is why they are doing it. . hell, why would the austrailians want something like that anyway? there wasn't much of a muscle car revolution down under ^,^ oh. . and i agree about a dodge muscle car . . .that would be simple too. . they are already working on soe rear wheel drive platforms (i think i read that the 300n will be rear wheel drive) so, they can throw a viper engine, or a truck v-8 in that thing and badge it as a charger . .a dart. . whatever the top one was. . . sorry. . i dont know my dodge/plymouth muscle cars too well. . . as for my thoughts on ford. . . well they are doing much better than anyone else. . . hell, the mustang is barely a muscle car. . but the merauder is amazing. . more horsepower would be nice though. . 350 ( i think thats what its rated at) just does not seem like enough to move such a huge beast. . . <!-- Signature -->

  11. Hey, the F-body isn't dead, just on hiatus... Supposedly it is coming back, but who knows as what.

What's the Matrix have to do with this? That's a Toyota FYI. Anyway that commercial is aimed at the gerenal public. A lot do not know what a 5 door hatchback is. They just drive cars. As for Pontiac needing a muscle car.. You didn't even mention the Trans Am? You remember that? Yeah that thing. I'd considerer it a muscle car.

  13. well. . can GM disgrace the pontiac name much more than they already have? someone out there wont like a new gto, but as long as people keep an open mind, i dont think it will be a problem. . . and i want to see a 66-67 :p <!-- Signature -->

  14. If any car should come back, its the GTO. If there was a second, it would have to be the Hemicuda. Look at what Chrysler (or should i just say Daimler), has been doing for the past decade. Let's list the concept cars that came into production: Viper, Crossfire, PT Cruiser, 300m (not as out-there as the others), and the Prowler. They have the new redesigned hemi engine, and all they need is a totally badass muscle car to have that engine in it. I love my cuda, but the handling is horrible compared to my s2000, an updated version of basically any muscle car with new handling elements would make my day.<!-- Signature -->

  15. They need to make the G8. I think thats what they mean by the GTO concept. But anyway, it was built off of a Grand Prix Chassis but a few mods were made. It was made AWD and an LS1 was dropped into it sporting 350 hp. It ran a high 13. They should make it, a competitor to the WRX.<!-- Signature -->

  16. LOL!! competitor to WRX?!!
you're talking bout a suped up family sedan which is gonna run you bout $45+K CAD without taxes..while the WRX is gonna be around $34K without taxes. Even the present Bonneville SSEs or even the GP GTP is bout $40+K now.

Now Subey is bringing over the STi..I think I'll stick to the smaller car. More nimble =P
And no..STi is not a dragster. Contrary to all the American Muscle lovers..including me...Japanese cars are not designed to be dragged unless extensively modified. They are all track cars =)

  17. the GTO concept is not the same as the G8. <!-- Signature -->

  18. Dodge has made plans regarding the charger (a 325 hp fuel hybrid NOT GAS/ELECTRIC but instead different types of natural gases) its estemated that it will be out in a couple of years and that it will be a little under 30,000 but it too is probably gonna be 4-door vehicle designed to look like a 2-door but it pulls it off and still kicks the Camaro's a*s and that GTO concept(if they make it will turn out like crap just like good ol' SS Monte Carlo a couple years ago, it had potential but they stuck with the camaros and vet.

  19. Hmmmmmm...
    I dunno...
In bout 4 years GM will be pumping out all their kickass new engines!! I heard alot of them are gonna be Vortec/MacLaren or is it McLaren engines running on inlines =)
    Gonna be pretty sweet =)
Not to mention the Displacement on Demand.

At the current rate Chrysler is going..I don't think thet have the financial ability to pump out a hybrid with 325HP that quickly...and if so, it would cost a hell of a lot more than any Camaro...more like Z06+ range...
Also, it would be a MB then cuz all the fuel cell tech is MB...not Chrysler.

New HemiCuda is out of the question since they killed Plymouth. Unless they decide to put it on another company like Dodge or Chrysler.<!-- Signature -->

  23. The original GTO sucked and a new one would not have the same following as the original. Everyone in the southern states say's the GTO was the original muscle car, what a joke. In 64 Dodge and Plymouth had half a dozen cars that would annialate the goat.
Example 64 max wedge would run high tweleves low thirteens on cheater slicks while the goats best offering would run mid to low fourteens on slicks, and thats with everything else stock as it left the factory. Everyone knows that the original GTO test car that was given to mags like motortrend was hevily modified to compete with ferrari's GTO. Further more most people don't seem to care if there is a v8 pontiac ever again they didn't sell that well when they had them except in the 60's, their is a small cult following of a couple thousand people that like the new f-bodys and want them bac, but know body else does.

Quetion: Whats the one good thing about a f-body?

Answer: You can use its door as a canoe<!-- Signature -->

Did you hear the Trans AM was cancelled, stupid Pontiac. Which would you prefer the Vibe or the Trans AM, tough choice eh. This Bonneville is all about the style and power.
