  3. Rally bread

this car was an amazing rally car....it's sweet as a road car too

  4. And when the Rally class was cancelled after the Bad accident (Lancia Delta S4 I think?) Ford had a load left over? So they wanted to sell them off at £54,000 each, no-one was buying them so after time they were floged for £1000 each (Yes £1000), If you own one now and want to sell it you will get upto(Ive seen advertised!) £84,500, I wish I had £1000 in 1986! Gutted :(

  5. If ya think thats quick you should see the evolution factory model.
    2.1 liter, 550bhp!!!

If you have a look in the guiness book of records it was the fasted accelerating production car.

  6. Rally Bread is right. it is the best rally ever.<!-- Signature -->

  7. I Like this car very very much !!
Its the best rally car ever and whan of the best roadcars ever !!!<!-- Signature -->

  8. Yeah its good example of a group B. Not sure that it was the best though cos it never made a full season of rallying and won only one rally. Lancia S4 and the Peugeot T16/2 were both far more successful and both had in the region of 700BHP.

  9. breathtaking car, really, i mean it!<!-- Signature -->

  10. NeoGoatboy, according to my sources the RS200 never won a WRC event. It's main problem was that it was heavier than the other Group B cars. Ford were in the process of bringing in a new and lighter RS200, but the cancellation of Group B meant that never happened. :(

The RS200 was definitely the most stylish of the Group B cars. I'd like to own one. <IMG SRC="http://www.supercars.net/servlets/cMsg/html/emoticons/smile.gif">

  11. ohhhhhhhhhhhh.... pretty..... me wants.....

    ohh, sorry, was i drooling?

heh, this car was just damned nice... some offroad tires, a tweak to the shocks, alittle bit of american driving never hurt no one either... (well, we just wont go there...) heh, its still one of the sweetest Rally cars, definatly in the top three... the other two were Lancia's but that goes w/out saying...<!-- Signature -->

  12. actually according to frod motor co. britain it had up to 750BHP in its race form and THEY MADE 200 AS INDICATED BY NAME (as in most race cars) because that was required for its group's (5 i think) homologation requirement.

  13. I never said that it won A round of the WRC. It wasn't the Works team either that won. It was the Spanish Malbourgh team that won. As for ford developing this car.....um NO. Ford weren't developing the car although it was fords money. Cosworth were developing the engine. I thing that it was Lola that developed the chassis and it was built in the Reliant factory.<!-- Signature -->

  14. Ford Rs 200 rally car, Group B Made and at Reliant plant UK

only 200 units of these cars were ever made, out of thses 200 units

made only 20 were EVOLUTION models which were used for rally cross

were pushing round about 670 bhp from a 2.1ltre 4 pot engine

This car the Rs200 EVO is in the Guinness book of records for the fastest acclerating car,(production) , somthing like

    2.7 - secs to 60 mph

    5.4 - secs to 100 mph

this a picture of the RS200 down below

  21. shit loads of people are doin kit car versions using the sierra sapphire cosworth as a donor, turbo systems uk had one with 550hp i think? uses the same back lights as the 3 door rs and rs500 cosworth, not much else.

    quote from reliant website
To get accepted by the FIA a minimum of 200 RS200 had to be build, but 220 sets of parts where compiled, of which several never made their way to a real car but were used to supply parts for damaged cars.
The engine: 1803cc with up to 600 hp !
Additionally, 20 RS200 Evolution with 2.1 liter engine were produced.
    The quickest RS200s were awesome: 0-60mph in 3.6 secs, 0-100mph in 8.1, and 0-100-0mph in 13.6 sec

The RS200 had big potential to be a winner, but FIA rules changed in 1987 because of some terrible accidents, killing both competitors and spectators. The group B rally cars where just getting too much to handle. The 10 million pounds Ford invested in the RS200 were more ore less wasted. In there debut season of 67 races, the RS200 won 19 times.

reliant formerly made the 3 wheel robin and then also made the 3 wheel robin! fancy workin on a production line one day makin a 3 wheel piece of shit to makin one of the fastest acceleratin cars in the world.

  22. collins engineering have one tuned to 790bhp and revs to 14k.

    hits 160 in 8.5 seconds

  23. and all you went right along with rally bread... thats something you eat... bred would be it was made for the rally... damned ignorant internet kids. <!-- Signature -->

A few corrections look in the Guinness book of records about 0-60 0-100 ,i think your estimats are a bit wrong with the Rs200 E.
Look at the Fastest accelerating car!! your right about the reliant place , but it was all supervised by Ford and there Staff

    P.S in your quote 0-100 8.1 wrong , is 5.4sec

and your 1/4 mile is wrong too , that was with the stock/standard Rs200 , not the Evo version
