  1. RX7 Bashing

    This is to all the fools out there bashing the Rx7 who have obviously never owned one. This is a race car in it's stock form.
    This car has perfect weight distribution.
    More HP per liter than anything out there.
    I did 148mph in this car and it held it's own.
    This argueably the best japanese sports cars ever made.
    It's not going to blow everyone way there is always someone faster, but they are Rare and everywhere you go someone asks you about your car. People in general like this car!

  11. RX7's beat all of their competition. In handling, braking, and performance times. looks better than all of the cars in its competition too.

    Wow...... As a stock car the 3rd gen iz well performed and no one can say differently. Makin' power it'z rather easy and few problemz compared to most performace built carz. and to that guy with the 20b 631 hp and a T88 turbo? what kinda psi are you runnin'? your hp numberz seem very low for that kind of tunin'. The T88 iz a 800+ hp turbo on a 3 rotor 20b. Unless your runnin' 14psi I'm not seein' it. With a T78 and a 13b can make 600+ hp. Yes I have a few Q?z Who built your motor? and where did you score all them modz for 12k? Most of all y a T88 when your not even using it? Thatz kinda of a wast of all that motor.

  16. all im sayin iz why the massive turbo that laggz alike a beast when he iz oveously not using it for any thing! the T88 iz #$%#in big sendz 13b in to the 800+ hp a 20b thatz like 1000+ hp so whatz the point of having some thing you dont use? i bet a T4 would do the same thing for half the cost
     
  17. hey, to all those who are hatin on the seven, i just took out a 95 viper rt/10 with my fd tonight.. not once...not twice... three times in a row.. the only things i have done are an apexi power fc, m2 intake, racing beat exhaust, unorthadox underdrive pulley with pettit racing alt and wtr pump pulleys, light wieght flywheel, act extreme clutch and denso fuel pump... it was pretty close but i killed it off the line up till about 220km, then he would start to pull on me..

  20. Ok once, I was out crusing chasing some boy racers up the local motorway, doing between 200-230kph for quite a way then up to 270kph (165mph) to catch a EVO II that needed to be shown how its done.

    This was in my R33 Skyline GTS25t back in the day, that was only about 80% power really, it'd probably get to 290 with enough clear road. The car maybe a good 450hp+ at the flywheel on 22psi in this trim i had forged slugs, gt-r rods, 240 cams, a GT2835, link ecu GT-R 'cooler 'box and R200 rear. by no means a slow car that was good for sub-12 on the quarter.

    At a indicated 265kph I was passed by a 3rd gen rx-7 like i was standing still.....

    it *had* to be doing more than 200mph or 325kph. it literally shot past like i was parked and it was doing 100kph. after that he seemed to be able to stay ahead of anyone when he wanted to then pulled off.

    the car was black most likely a series 7, had a cosmo motor (could hear the difference) perhaps a twin turbo set up, it definately had a external wastage with dumpers as it was very loud to be behind. also had a full race straight cut tranny, as could hear that too!

    at that point i realised i had the wrong car. a 13B rotary can make from 700hp-1200hp internally standard, thats 500-700hp/litre which is about what a 5000hp dragster makes with 60psi of boost and nitromethane. Bare in mind 99% of all modified rotaries around have all stock metal internally as aftermarket rotors or housings are not common and little advantage -usually custom made.

    A 3rd gen RX-7 weighs about the same as a honda civic, has a cd of about 0.28 low height and frontal area. A 255hp rotary will top out at 158mph, that means a 500hp rx-7 could do about 190, and a 1000hp rotang could go 250+

    all this from a engine about the size of a beer keg. the 13B has to be the only engine that i've PICKED UP, and put on a bench
