  1. SVT COBRA FUTURE 351?

I love mustangs with a passion they are my favorite and they always will be...but how many people think ford made a mistake wit the 289 4.6 L? I think ford should bring back the 302 5.0 L and use those for the GT and use either 330 5.4L or 351 5.8L. Mustangs are a great car and I love them but there is only some much horsepower you can get out of a small v8 like that. But the great thing is ford is dominating the market with that 289 and showing the big boys with the LS1's what those little v8s are made of... and when the 04 or 05 Cobra R comes out I want to see the look on Vipers and Corvette Owners faces when they get blown away. Good Luck GM your gonna need it.

  2. that would kick ass when they bring back the 351. or even just the 302.

  3. Rumours circulating around sites like blueovalnews.com and Motor Trend suggest that a 32 valve, DOHC version of the 5.0 liter V-8 will be featured in a forthcoming Mustang, possibly as soon as the 2004 edition. This engine is very similar to the Naturally Aspirated 400 hp powerplant found in the FR500. Sources mention this engine powering the 2004 Cobra, or possibly the 2004 Boss Mustang Concept. The future is so bright, I gotta wear shades. <IMG SRC="http://www.supercars.net/servlets/cMsg/html/emoticons/smile.gif"><!-- Signature -->

Hey, why don't you grow up??? This is a forum about future engines, and that was what I was discussing. If you are gonna be a moron and not contribute constuctively to the conversation, get lost. <!-- Signature -->

Why do people post garbage? Really nobody gives a sh!t about your stupid comments either. If someone has some news about something and post it, what's wrong with that. Maybe you should lay off the crack, ok, got that, no more crack!
As far as the original post, I would love the new mustangs to have a 351 in them. I like the 4.6, but man you just can't beat a 351!

  7. Remember that by 2004 or 2005 the Vette will also be upgraded much more than it is now. I've even heard rumors about the C6 coming out in 2005 or 2006 along with the new Camaro. Both of these cars are supposed to be much more potent than the present models. Just adding my 2 cents worth.

I'm sorry but talking of a 351 is a waste of space. If you want a nice motor, grab a four bolt main 302, forged crank and four venturi cleveland heads. Wait, did I just describe the boss 302 motor? Although rated at 290bhp, they dynoed at 400, and that was normally aspirated. Check out www.mustanworks.com for a picture of this cobra and a boss 429. Now that was a machine.

  9. WHAT DOES THE GT STAND FOR ON A MUSTANG?

  14. good for chevy staying with their roots all the way to its end. but do you think that its comitment to its roots has something to do with it being canceled in the first place??

Well said. Part of the demise of the Camaro/Firebird was due to lack of consumer interest, probably stemming from a lack of redisign since 1992. In order to survive, you have to evolve.<!-- Signature -->
