1. sweet....

ive actually been driven in Citroen cars while i grew up in Europe... but ive never seen this one in real life.

2. Yes its nice, body is built by Chapron

3. it nice everything i would want in a little unknown euro roadster
nice car i like it

4. The Citroën Chaprons are real collectors item, goes for K30-100 US$.
You can tell the age of a ID/DS on the front, 3 different ones exist.

5. most people dont understand the fascination that we can have with cars like this. those people make a bad name for car fans...this is a real collectable car, and whoever owns one should feel special.

6. I saw a real one some years ago in the Dream Garage of a Dutch car mag at the Amsterdam Car Show. It was red like this one and I don't think I have seen many convertibles in my live that were so incredibly elegant.
A Godess indeed!

7. How can you grow up in Europe and not see one of these great cars??? :D

8. The most beautiful convertible ever built.
I wish I had one parked beside my SM.....

They are very rare now , even in France.
I'm French , I've never seen one.

10. My god, what the hell is wrong with you people? it's ugly, slow, and doesn't really belong on Supercars.net.
but, hey, if this little pissmobile makes you orgasm, then fine out. Just don't whine when somebody easily cruises by in an AC cobra, or a ferrari 360, or anything that isn't a citroen.

11. This car is awesome......great convertible especially for that time...

12. Well CitroënSM, its a shame that your car isnŽt added here, it was the fastest FWD during the 1970ies and a real supercar. I sure would
like to have one next to my DS23 Famillale...

13. my father 0wns one of these [here in Cyprus] ... in fact he owns 2 different models a DS SUPER 21 and a DS 25 [?] 76 and 74 models each very beautiful cars indeed ... i may post some pictures in the future when i have time Pure Luxury Cars a true Legend!

14. The beloved DS was made in DS19,20,21 and 23 so its probably a DS23
(2,3liter) he got. The first front was the one with best aerodynamics,
but I prefer the 3rd front with turning head-lights....

15. Re:
sweet....

The third version is nice, but this shark is truly spectacular, I love this car. It has a prescence that almost no modern road car posseses

16. If you have never experienced the hydraulic suspension than be forever silent and don't talk about Cobra's or 355's.

17. Are you moronic enough to think it's the intention of someone who drives this to duel with Cobras and 360's?

18. Anyone who gets excited over this car is an idiot, call yourself a car enthusiast, whatever. Cars are meant to get you from A to B. The FASTER the better!

19. which is why there are cars out there with lawnmower size engines and solar power the can barely reach 100km/h

I am an ex citroen owner. DSs' are beatuiful and well before there time. it's not how long it takes to get from A to B, but wheather you look good doing it

20. As an American GI stationed in France in the early sixties, I owned a 1952 Citroen Traction Avant 15cv. That car was way ahead of its time as was Citroen's next generation of cars, the DS series. My Traction Avant took me all over Europe with plenty speed and comfort with virtually no problems. I only wish I had that car today. I rode in several DS model taxicabs and was amazed at how you sank down into the seat in luxurious comfort and how incredibly smooth the hydropneumatic system worked; suspension, transmission, shifting etc... It would also "git up and go" for a car of its type. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. For anyone to compare this car to the likes of a Cobra, as in posts above, is insane. They are not the same kinds of cars. That is like comparing a Cadillac to a Corvette. No one should get as downright nasty as some of you have in criticizing others who like this car. There are those who think Cobras, Corvettes, Vipers and others are ugly. Lighten up guys. I think the DS 19 Palais convertible is one of the most strikingly beautiful cars ever built. I saw where one recently sold for $150,000. Someone must have thought it was pretty nice!

21. If speed is your only yardstick to measure a car then the Citroen is not for you, but why post such a nasty message?
